I bought both my first two players(SS & WR) a CE, both to the max of 900 Flex usage on the CE.

For my OT, i'm not gonna buy a CE for him....and now I have an LB, which I'm contemplating on whether or not to buy CE for him.

LB would be the one position that buying the SA Tree for CE probably isnt worth it

it's not that great for FB either really. But for most other positions it can be pretty good.

I don't buy unless it is worth the cost in boosting...

Would you pay 600 for +6 for an OT? 6 boosts? 30 SP? 5 SP per skill point? Almost nobody I know builds up to 77 for an OT, so no, I don't think the 600 flex is worth it for an OT.

Similarly, for say my C who has 1-1-1-2-4(+4) as my pass block tree, a custom SA piece would cost me 300 flex. 3 boosts. 15 SP?

Value to go from 1-1-1-2-4 to 2-2-2-3-5 is 1+1+1+2+4 = 9. No thanks.

Granted, if you boost AND do custom, comparing the value of the two is silly, because custom is the ONLY way to get that extra +6 or +1 on a tree, etc. However I do like to put it into perspective and think about what I'm paying for... In the long run, a good build, proper boosting strategy (wait until end of every season until level 28), and successful team (for high level equipment) should be able to make up a lot of that gap.

I just cant justify spending 900 flex for a lot of positions! +6 punting? Rofl no thanks, I already have 110 and its a PUNTER.

yeah, that's why I didn't buy an CE for mt OT. Plus, the o-linesmen are only good for pancakes.

I think only for the "glamourous position" and maybe some defensive positions are worth the buy.

Wrong shed block and swat ball are amazing if you're outside.

Defense general and monster hit are amazing if you're middle.

Monster hit is literally probably the best s.a in the entire game.

No reason not to buy the tree.

what i was saying is that of all positions, LB would be the one that wouldnt be worth it. You listed off 2 useful SAs per each position, that seems the least useful for any position. every other position has more than 2 "good" SAs for their position.

LB is still totally worth it. It's 300 friggin flex, for five SA points.

For my slow build OT, I saved my SP, then when I used it, I took strength to 60, then bought my custom. Those 6 were worth 18 sp.
