Well it's that time of the month again...........................NO, not that time of the month, ladies!
It's almost time to start a new season! Gosh!
So we say goodbye to the Danube "You're my boy" Blues, CKT, Czech Yourself and the Smexies in Alpha and Short Bus, Wroclaw, Knossos and Pirgos in Zeta.

And we say hello to 8 new teams in Zeta and 7 new teams in Alpha...........hello.
So a quick recap of last season for those that are new to EEA1.
EEBBB1 teams seemed to dominate the season in both conferences, but it was the way too high leveled Smexies that crushed all competition on their way to a championship and a BBB2 team that the Smexies destroyed in that championship game.
So I thought I would go through the teams real quick and check out who is the poo and who is not.
The rankings are really in no particular order, I just went by the CPU standings, which look to go by records.
Although records from last season won't give a good gauge of a team getting bumped down or moved up, but it was all I had to go by.
*Alpha Pre-Season Rankings*
#1) Macedonia Diadochi - these guys were last seasons EEBBB1 Champs and went 20-0. They eased through the competition and they look to be the team to beat in Alpha this season.
Team Rating: 5/6 beers - Give you guys 5 because you are champs of EEBBB1 and you guys should have gone further in season 7. So make those 5 beers Killian Irish Reds.
#2) Iron Curtain Psychos - Looks like these were the guys to lose to Macedonia in their conference champ game. Another EEBBB1 team that should make a good showing this season.
Team Rating: 4/6 Beers - great season, but there is better talent up here. You guys should definitely make the playoffs though.
#3) Kiev Pit Bulls - These guys were the EEBBB2 runner ups last season, losing to the Estonia Stoners (now in EEA1 Zeta) by a FG in their title game match up. Watch out for level 50 QB Doc Sprocket (sounds like a super villain name to me).
Team Rating: 4/6 Beers - Well, I would probably be a little biased against a BBB2 team, but Short Bus taught everyone a lesson about BBB2 teams last season. So 4 beers for you guys.
#4) Valhalla Einherjar - Looks like these guys will have the name that I in no way can pronounce or even have a desire to learn how for this season.
These guys were the 2nd place team in EEBBB2 Alpha, losing to the above Pit Bulls. Looks like they've done a bit of recruiting to bring in some high level players, so they could make a nice run this season. Good luck Ei%$#gmtbtyuin'rs............told you I couldn't pronounce it.
Team Rating: 4/6 Beers - another BBB2 team that shouldn't be underestimated.
#5) Vienna River Bandits - These guys went 14-2 in EEBBB2 and got knocked out in the 2nd round of the play offs to the #4 Vallhalla Einsteiners..................................aw dammit!
Well at least I tried to pronounce it right!
Isn't Vienna where they make those delicious little sausages in a can?
Team Rating: 4/6 Beers - going 14-2 in BBB last season might be like going 8-8 up here. But I wish you guys luck on a playoff run.
#6) Gunzenhausen Wolfpack - OK, here is a team I know. The Wolfpack were the great surprise team in Alpha for me. They took on the best and either beat them or hung in their punch for punch with them. This will be a top team to look out for IMO.
Team Rating: 6/6 Beers - Gotta be considered a fav to take the Alpha title this season.
#7) Amsterdam Hallucinations - Another veteran EEA1 team from last season. These guys have the talent and brains to make a nice run for the title..........and do not let Auburnt buy you a drink, chances are he slipped some X or LSD into it to knock you off your game. Damn you Auburnt!!
Team Rating: 6/6 Beers - Such a solid team. They should be another top contender team.
#8) Krakow Plumbers Crack - Oh yeah! The Crack is back! Who wants some Crack?!
Not only a great name, but a really good team. KINGCHEEZ and his Crack stood toe to toe with Czech and showed EEA1 that they are a contender for season 9. Gotta' love the Crack, Jack!!
Team Rating: 6/6 Beers - Watch out for these guys! I smell an Alpha title for them..................or it could just be gas from the Plumber's Crack.
#9) Average Joe's - The Joe's made the playoffs and were round 1 fodder for those damned Smexies last season. They should make it again this season and this time there are no Smexies to keep them down like last season.
Team Rating: 5/6 Beers - I think they will make the playoffs for sure and will make a strong run at a title too.
#10) Bohemia Gryphons - The Gryphons just missed the playoffs last season, but if they play like they did last season then a playoff berth is a definite yes!
Team Rating: 4/6 Beers - Four because you missed out last season, but things look good for you this season.
#11) Wildflecken Wolverines - Well CoachErnie and gang made a great comeback in the second half of the season and even got a great upset win over CKT last season. Look for the Wolverines to make a much better showing this season. No taking anyone by surprise this season.
Team Rating: 4/6 Beers - Four beers for making a great second half run.
#12) Greece Lightning - Looks like the Lightning have made some nice acquisitions on defense and look to make a play off run this season. It's good to see them get serious and wanting to make a comeback after last seasons 5-11 showing.
Team Rating: 4/6 Beers - Four because of the new D-line and secondary.
#13) Hungarian Hitmen - Well the Hitmen seemed to have made a couple moves in free agency, but I don't know if it will be enough to push them into the playoffs.
Team Rating: 3/6 Beers - hope I'm wrong for the Hitmen, but I think it will be another long season for them.
#14) Wallachia Impalers - Looks like they are sticking with what they had last season. Nothing wrong with that,, unless you went 3-13. Maybe 5 wins for the Impalers this season. I'm just going to go ahead and hand out the first hot chick pic already.

#15) St. Petersburg Royal Guards - here is the first of two demoted teams from EEA. the Royal Guards were 2-14 in a much tougher league, so maybe with their high level talent this will be a playoff season.

Team Rating: 3/6 Beers - only three because of the bad record, but being high level you guys should have a good season down here.
#16) Kazan Golden Horde - I'm a bit of a history buff, so I really like the name. But you guys really sucked last season. But here you are in a lower level league and you should really have a much better time of it this season. Especially with all that level 40+ talent.
Team Rating: 3/6 Beers - see the Royal Guards above.
OK, I'll go out on a really long and thin limb and make a quick playoff prediction.
I think it will be Macedonia and Krakow in the Alpha title game.
I was in BBB1 in season 7 and the Diadochi really know their shit and being here last season I know that the Crack is a force to be reckoned with now that the shuffle has happened.
So............
Macedonia vs Krakow = Macedonia - just think of Macedonia as another CKT or Czech Yourself team.

#1) Estonia Stoners - The season 8 EEBBB2 champs come in to EEA1 and want to make a good showing of it this season. Best of luck because there looks to be a really great group of talent in Zeta this season.
Team Rating: 5/6 Beers - five for winning a title, but the Stoners might get humbled this season.
#2) Wroclaw Wrecking Crew - We lose one Wroclaw team and another pops up to take it's place.
These guys were just barely beaten by the Stoners in their EEBBB2 Zeta title match up. Could be a growing season for the Wrecking Crew. Take your lumps and wait for next season.
Team Rating: 4/6 Beers - never hurts to drink a few beers for confidence or to dull the pain of a lot of losses.
#3) St. Petersburg Destroyers - The Destroyers were the EEBBB1 Zeta fodder for the Diadochi in the championship of season 8. But now they are nothing but a distant memory as they go CPU.

#4) Banja Luka Blackshirts - The first of three Banja Luka teams in Zeta. They are also the latest edition to the other two Banja Luka teams. Can't you guys find a new name? We all know the Funky Bunch are the original Banja Luka team.
But I digress. This Banja Luka team did pretty good for themselves. 14-2, going deep in the playoffs and now up here with the big boys. The kid gloves and diapers come off in EEA1, so maybe, just maybe, prepare yourselves for a rough season.
Team Rating: 3/6 beers - We'll just have to wait and see with these guys.
#5) Macedonia Trojans - OK, now we're talking! The Trojans are back and looks like they have brought in some high level talent to put them on the top again this season. The D should be wrapped tighter than a small size Trojan on Ron Jeremy!
Team Rating: 6/6 Beers - gotta' be the top favored team to win Zeta this season.
#6) Ukraine Freight Train - The Train had a nice season last season. 14-2 and making the playoffs and even making it to the second round. Moving into EEA1 these guys might be taking an early train out and miss the playoffs.
Team Rating: 3/6 Beers - Have three beers on me to ease some losses.
#7) Banja Luka Funky Bunch - These guys have got to be another favored team for the season. 13-3 and losing to Wroclaw by three in the playoffs was not too shabby. A couple moves were made and looks like it might help put them on top of Zeta this season.
Team Rating: 5/6 Beers - Another playoff berth looks good for you guys.
#8) Cool Runnings - From Alpha to Zeta comes Cool Runnings. These guys are a very good team, so don't take them lightly. They should be a playoff contender in season 9.
Team Rating: 4/6 Beers - maybe they go 10-6 or 6-10 or 8-8. Any way it turns out they will be tough to beat.
#9) WMD Pale Riders - According to LeeroyPJenkins, these guys are the new douchebags of EEA1.
Well Leeroy, I'm here to tell you that I know douchebags, sir.
Czech Yourself were douchebags and WMD is no CY and no douchebags, sir.
There will always only be one doucebag team that graced EEA1 with their douchebaggery and that team, sir, is THE Czech Yourself (gotta' stick up for CY, they work hard on their image).
Well just kidding though. CY aren't douchebags and prolly neither are WMD.
But they went 12-4 and made round 2 of the post season in season 8. They may be lucky to win 8 games this season, but we'll have to wait and see how well they do.
Team Rating: 3/6 Beers - gave you three just to let you guys know you aren't all douchebags.
#10) Providence Black Hawks - Looks like these guys have some good talent, but going 11-5 in BBB might translate to 5-11 in A1. Another wait and see team here, but hey.......at least you're not douchebags.
Team Rating: 3/6 Beers - three beers because I'm looking at the brighter side of things and trying to stay positive about you guys.
#11) Istanbul Hellhounds - Hellhounds came out of the gate fast, but faded even faster as the season went on (sounds like the last time I had sex......about seven years ago).
These guys should be one of the favored teams again, but no more colossal collapses or you guys will be one and done again.
Team Rating: 4/6 Beers - trying to look at the positive side of things for Istanbul, so I give them 4 beers to build up that confidence after last season.
#12) Luzitian Dynasty - Okie dokie Dynasty! No longer are you guys the whipping boys of CY since they are gone. But you still have a lot to prove.
With high level talent like what you got you should be the next Smexies..............."should be", I said.
Time to put up or put out! This could be your season, but you still have the teams from last season to contend with. 10-6 last season was fine, but you guys should be contending this season.
Team Rating: 4/6 Beers - let's see what they can do with all that level 40+ talent.
#13) The Gods - Oh man! Pedro and The Gods are back for another go in EEA1! They have nice talent filling out their roster, so if they get their X's and O's right, they could be looking at a top 4 finish!
Team Rating: 4/6 Beers - a lot of upside going the Gods' way.
#14) Vancouver Jive Turkeys - The Jive Turkey's look poised to make a good run at the post season this time. They didn't fair too well last season, but hey you guys have a season of EEA under your belt and that is more than what the new teams can say, right?
Team Rating: 3/6 Beers - You guys have Blazzinken on your squad (a former TBP alum, like myself)., that's worth an extra beer or two right there.
#15) Banja Luka Boracs - Boracs went 5-11 last season, which really isn't that bad considering we had Short Bus, Knossos and Wroclaw here last season.
Could a play off run be in the future for these fighters?

Yep, our good old friend Magic 8 Ball has come out of storage and I had to warm up the ball for season 9..........that sounded kinda' gross, didn't it? But I get so drunk I prolly enjoyed it and don't even remember doing it. Just waking up the next morning with the Magic 8 Ball laying next to me and answering all my questions before I could even ask them, just like a woman would!!

So I'm looking at an all Macedonia League Championship, the Trojans vs the Diadochi and picking the Diadochi to win it this season.
That's my picks, predictions and prognostications for EEA1 this season. You may not like them or you may not agree with them, but that's how I see them so piss off!

But they went 12-4 and made round 2 of the post season in season 8. They may be lucky to win 8 games this season, but we'll have to wait and see how well they do.

#10) Providence Black Hawks - Looks like these guys have some good talent, but going 11-5 in BBB might translate to 5-11 in A1. Another wait and see team here, but hey.......at least you're not douchebags.
Team Rating: 3/6 Beers - three beers because I'm looking at the brighter side of things and trying to stay positive about you guys.
#11) Istanbul Hellhounds - Hellhounds came out of the gate fast, but faded even faster as the season went on (sounds like the last time I had sex......about seven years ago).
These guys should be one of the favored teams again, but no more colossal collapses or you guys will be one and done again.
Team Rating: 4/6 Beers - trying to look at the positive side of things for Istanbul, so I give them 4 beers to build up that confidence after last season.
#12) Luzitian Dynasty - Okie dokie Dynasty! No longer are you guys the whipping boys of CY since they are gone. But you still have a lot to prove.
With high level talent like what you got you should be the next Smexies..............."should be", I said.
Time to put up or put out! This could be your season, but you still have the teams from last season to contend with. 10-6 last season was fine, but you guys should be contending this season.
Team Rating: 4/6 Beers - let's see what they can do with all that level 40+ talent.
#13) The Gods - Oh man! Pedro and The Gods are back for another go in EEA1! They have nice talent filling out their roster, so if they get their X's and O's right, they could be looking at a top 4 finish!
Team Rating: 4/6 Beers - a lot of upside going the Gods' way.
#14) Vancouver Jive Turkeys - The Jive Turkey's look poised to make a good run at the post season this time. They didn't fair too well last season, but hey you guys have a season of EEA under your belt and that is more than what the new teams can say, right?
Team Rating: 3/6 Beers - You guys have Blazzinken on your squad (a former TBP alum, like myself)., that's worth an extra beer or two right there.
#15) Banja Luka Boracs - Boracs went 5-11 last season, which really isn't that bad considering we had Short Bus, Knossos and Wroclaw here last season.
Could a play off run be in the future for these fighters?

Yep, our good old friend Magic 8 Ball has come out of storage and I had to warm up the ball for season 9..........that sounded kinda' gross, didn't it? But I get so drunk I prolly enjoyed it and don't even remember doing it. Just waking up the next morning with the Magic 8 Ball laying next to me and answering all my questions before I could even ask them, just like a woman would!!

#16) Renegades of Funk - 3-13 wasn't too fun a season, but here comes the new season 9 and a fresh start. ROF has a chance to move up now, maybe go 8-8 or so. Who knows, the point is that when you were as bad as you guys were last season the only way to go is up!
Go funk them up ROF!!

OK, this may sound biased, but I'm picking the Banja Luka Funky Bunch to take on the Macedonia Trojans in the Zeta title game, with Macedonia coming out on top.
So I'm looking at an all Macedonia League Championship, the Trojans vs the Diadochi and picking the Diadochi to win it this season.
That's my picks, predictions and prognostications for EEA1 this season. You may not like them or you may not agree with them, but that's how I see them so piss off!
