hey, would quick cut or first step be useful or an OT?

Only if you can get two pieces of them upgraded to a total of +6 would I consider the option (in which case, yes, both would be useful)

I think quick cut would be worth it but not really first step. I actually just got quick cut on my OT. But he is only lvl 20 and its only +2 quick cut so I can't tell if its worth it yet.

Here's another one. Cut Block or Get Low for a guard?

Cut Block is further along in the tree so I was leaning toward that, but wasn't sure as this is my first guard.

I am a fun of the get low instead of the cut block. the latter will make you acquainted with the ground when you miss. Being further down the tree is no biggy (all point I ever invested in pancakes are a completely waste of SPs)
However, I cannot say that I seen a clear difference in film.

I'd lean towards first step. When DEs were good the sacks often came from getting round OTs untouched. Something to give you a better chance to get your hands on them would be good I think.
