Warrior General Games

Several good games today. And these for the most part are reflected in the Power Rankings. OKC and the Gorillas swap spots after Iowa upsets OKC. Yazoo jumps 5 spots after an impressive win. Madden Nation continues their slide in the rankings after another loss. While San Antonio drops a few spots after their second loss in as many weeks.

The main exception would be the Navigators. Falling in at #4, even though they remain undefeated.

As I've mentioned, I have some things to work on with my rankings, but for now this is where they stand.

If you feel you're better than my rankings, prove it on the field. Get to the playoffs, then lay down your brand of smack! We want to see it!

Love seeing 1's across the board.

Tough to see Lincoln at #4 with that 12-0 record, but it is what it is I guess...

Yeah, tough to see us at #4 when we've already beaten #2 by 20 points (they continue moving up).

Yeah, I agree. That's why I'll continue to work on improving the rankings.

But until then...look forward to the fact that we have a playoff system to allow everyone to prove their worth at the end of the season.

I would like to stop the playoff format, and go to a bowl ranking system where StickMan's power rankings determine which bowl people play in.

So, we'll play GSG for the Championship - whoever wins is the best team in the league.

What do you guys think?

I prefer playoffs, better representation of how good the teams are when it counts.

Yeah, using the playoff format was a great decision for GLB.

I don't think I'd enjoy as much without it.

And I wish they'd put into college, but there's too much financial inertia to overcome with the current bowl game format.

The rankings provide interesting entertainment. I'm not complaining because no system is ever perfect. Thanks for continuing to provide these rankings Stickman.

I think Lincoln matches up well with most anyone in USA A2 but we're beatable (as we almost proved again today). That's what makes it fun though.

True indeed. About the fun part, not necessarily that you're beatable. We'll find that out in the playoffs.....

well, my team, the WarChant, plays the Sharks next in the battle for Florida. It looks like their record is a little deceiving, but we can't look past anyone anyhow, even after upending the Madden team this week 6-3 in OT.
