Well, Tokyo Hellfighters moved up to the AAA along with Padang, Tokyo Kamikaze, Vanuatu and a gutted Karawang(what's up with that?). We'll miss you guys, but at least have some regular posters coming with us from the previously listed teams.

I need your help- Please PM support and ask them to relegate the Wuhan Wolverines. They went slow build mid-season and now their highest level player is level 7, they obviously aren't in AA to compete. There are teams that can be tons more competitive waiting to be promoted out of A. If Karaumai and Bein Hoa, teams that actually won games in AA last season were able to get themselves relegated, why can't make a case for relegating a team that isn't even close to them?

Thanks for your help, good luck in season 9.

I guess with you guys, Padang and Karawang going up it leaves things wide open for the Bucks and Phooeys to fight it out for the title. Although I see the Razorbacks have come straight back up and those little buggers have caused us enough problems in the first few seasons of the league that I wont take them lightly.

Actually, looking at AAA 2, one of the freshly promoted teams went CPU and has no one on its roster. They should probably be relegated to A which would open the door for the Phooeys. Doubt Bort will use common sense to swap a the competitive team for a lesser one, but...you can always petition support.

Ok Karawang merged with Vanuatu and is supposedly gutting their team and asking for a relegation for the Chimaeras. I can't see the Phooeys not being moved up to AAA followed by the 12-4 team in AA #3. So 1 team from Garuda A 7 or 8 should be promoted to AA 4, not sure if that would be To Ken Love Bort or someone from A 8.

Edit:

Bort as all, but confirmed he won't be changing higher level seedings. If you are fed up with this, please voice your concerns in the GLB forums. No reason for high level leagues to have gutted teams for season 9 when the season hasn't even started yet and support has plenty of time to make the adjustments.

Bort is getting beat up pretty bad to be honest. Even his mods are turning against him. Even Jed and Jed is evil (seriously that guy almost completely killed this league with his fascist modding).

To see things from Borts point of view that certain teams arent ready to go up - I kind of get where hes coming from. I know I dont want the Bucks to go up this season. We budgeted for an end of season 9 promotion and with me having my design deadline only three and a half weeks away we wont have everyone there for the planning AAA needs. He would create a lot of problems if he just runs a script.

Maybe he should run a script which would alert the teams next in line for promotion and give them a chance to accept or decline. If they decline and theres no one in that division close enough then it gets passed over and the team theyd replace stays in the high league (if there is a suitable team they get the option). This would allow the teams that are ready to go up to do so and at least reduce some of the crappy teams in higher tiers.

I see where you are coming from. Look, the Phooey can compete in triple A, in Garuda alone there are 5 freshly promoted teams. Last seasons AA 4 winner went 15-1 in AAA and Jakarta got promoted out of it as well. Empy, if you make it to AAA this season that would mean their would be 7 freshly promoted AA teams in it, I think you guys would win some games.

It would basically be the best teams out of this division all over again. I see where Empy is coming from, you bust your ass to win a title and get promoted on a technicality. Kinda fucks up your plans.

The thing is for every team that goes up and does well theres one that comes straight back down. Golden Hill won the AA4 title a few years back and came straight back down (ok they had their owner getting permabanned which didnt help but hey). When I took over the Bucks half way through season 6 I had a long term plan of rebuilding in season 7 (yet we were one win from the playoffs), challenging for a home spot season 8 and finishing the stadium in the offseason ahead of a title push in season 9.

Were we a season 4 team then maybe wed be ready to go up but were a season 3 team and as such we have certain disadvantages which make it necessary I think for us to stay here one more season.

Having said that Im going to ask my team what they think and if they want to go up then well ask about it.

In the case of you and the Phooeys moving up, if half of AAA was freshly promoted AA teams, don't you think that softens the blow of promotion? I mean you are facing a league where half the guys are your level. Sure you might not have won the league, but you did beat some of the teams you are going to be facing. I'm scared to play the Phooeys whether they are in AA or AAA as the beat us each time we played them.

Bort actually has a good point. Imagine that the Phooeys had already been moved up. Then if you moved up another team they may be left unable to compete which would really screw them over. A 2-14 type season can take the will to put together good teams out of anyone.

But that argument that Bort makes implies that the freshly promoted teams into AAA somehow can recruit better? I don't by that. The Hellfighters and Phooeys would be in the exact same place in AAA as they were in AA if they kept their roster together. Is it going to make a difference if the Phooeys have 1 more season in AA before being thrown in the fire versus going now? And why isn't the same concern there for a freshly promoted team like the Hellfighters, it is possible we could go 2-14 in AAA?

Forget about you guys because you should do fine. Imagine my team got moved up this season. We would be butfucked for 16 straight games before getting to rest our assholes down in AA again. At that point enough of our players may have had a bad season that they would leave and I would end up having to pretty much restart the team. That could have easily happened if we had just won 2 more games and Karawang had gone CPU earlier.

Now saying that we are staying down this season I think we have a chance to get back to winning and go up on our own terms next season. It is important to take the time you need to get up to AAA because it seems to be a whole different ballgame and you need to be prepared.
