Custom Equipment:
The second kind of equipment a player can get is called custom equipment. This cost flex points to get. You can create a custom piece in the equipment section of your players page or buy clicking on ‘Flex Points’ tab on the top bar. You must give the equipment a name and can upload a picture (uploading a picture is optionally, naming it is mandatory). You are allowed a maximum of +6 skill points into whatever skill you want, each skill point costs 100 FP. At level 8 you are able to choose a SA tree and get +1 to all SA in that tree, this costs 300 FP and you can only do this once.
1. Click on the equipment tab on top of your player's page to get to the equipment section.
2. After level 8 you don’t get any more options as far as custom equipment goes.
3. The reason one or more of your skills are blue is because it is boosted by a piece of equipment.
4. It is NOT one or the other, you can get both the +6 to skills and the +1 to a SA tree (once you hit level 8 of course)
5. You can upgrade custom equipment at any time of your players career, you don't have to buy everything at once (get 3 SP for 300 flex at level 4, then at level 20 you can buy the other 3 SP).
6. Once you buy equipment you can not change it (custom and regular) so think wisely before clicking on the buy button.
7. If you sell Custom Equipment you get 70% of the Flex Points back.
Advanced Equipment:
What is advanced equipment
1. AE is new with season 5.
2. AE uses the same equipment slots as regular equipment.
3. AE can have multiple bonuses. It can start with +1 (or more) to an attribute, +1 to a Special Ability, or a percentage bonus to an action like tackling, catching, forcing fumbles, etc.
4. You can get SAs that your position normally can't get, and most of them work, unless they are position specific, like 'Line General'.
How to get advanced equipment
1. You can only purchase it by doing normal training and selecting the 'go shopping' secondary activity. This will give you a shopping token.
2. Steps to buy advanced equipment.
* Train on normal, and 'go shopping'.
* You can then click on the 'Shopping Tokens' number on your training page or players profile to be taken directly to the store.
* Refresh, which uses your shopping token to load 3 items.
o Alternate method to get to the advanced equipment store: Click 'Equipment' on your players profile page.
o Click 'Buy New'.
o Click 'Adv.'
o Click 'Advanced Equipment Store'.
o Refresh, which uses your shopping token to load 3 items.
3. You don't have to buy the items you see in the store right away. They will stay until you buy one or refresh the store with another shopping token. Buying an item clears the store.
4. Advanced equipment costs money to buy, just like normal equipment. The cost varies depending on the bonuses it has. Shopping tokens are just used for refreshing the store.
Upgrading advanced equipment
Upgrade # Cost per upgrade
1 (level 1) $500
2 (level 8) $2,500
3 (level 16) $12,500
4 (level 24) $50,000
5 (level 32) $200,000
6 (level 40) $400,000
7 (level 48) $600,000
1. Upgrading advanced equipment requires 8 bonus tokens and cash.
* You always get +1 to any attribute.
* If the item has a percent chance then that always goes up by 2%.
* If the item has a SA then that goes up every other upgrade, starting with the second (8, 24, 40, etc).
2. So far the monetary cost of upgrading follows the same scale as normal equipment, but we aren't sure if it's the same at higher levels.
3. Bonus tokens are acquired by training on intense.
4. You can upgrade it every 8 levels, just like regular equipment. A level 8 player could upgrade twice if they have enough bonus tokens (level 1 and level 8), a level 32 player could upgrade 5 times (if they have 40 bonus tokens), and so on.
5. What an item starts with doesn't count against the upgrades. A level 32 player would be able to add +5 attributes, it doesn't matter if an item starts with +1 or +3.
6. You can add attributes via upgrades even if the item didn't start with any, but you cannot add SAs or percent skill chance if the item didn't start with any.
7. SA and percent skill chance upgrades only go into what the item already has, you don't get to choose.
8. If an item has two percent skill chances (like Break block chance +3%, Make tackle chance +3%) then both go up when you upgrade.
9. See Advanced equipment upgrades vs. Temporary boosts for an opinion on what's the most efficient use of bonus tokens.
