Just thought I would post up some of the numbers towards the best of the rest in our league and A1 for possible promotions.
If we say that the top 4 teams in A #1 and #2 are locks for promotions, I will rank the next 5 teams according to Bort's promotion formula. Here is the formula as stated on the wiki:
Number of playoff victories
Number of playoff games participated in (this covers the first round losers over the non playoff teams)
Regular season wins
Regular season ties
Regular season points scored
Regular season points against (lower is better)
Postseason scrimmage wins (not friendlies)
Postseason scrimmage ties (not friendlies)
Avg playoff game points differential
Avg postseason scrimmage points differential
Avg playoff points scored
Avg postseason scrimmage points scored
Avg playoff points allowed (lower is better)
Avg postseason scrimmages points allowed (lower is better)
Random selection.
Note that no teams are promoted in the Pro leagues as they are the top tier of the pyramid.
Info gathered from: http://www.glbwiki.com/index.php?title=Promotion_and_Relegation
Teams 1-8 are all the teams in the conference championships. I rank them but it is unclear between T.B. and Providence because they have such similar resumes.
9. Providence Radicals (A2) 15-1 / Playoff wins 1 / Points for 976 / Points Allowed 140
10. T.B. Sabertooths (A2) 15-1 / Playoff wins 1 / Points for 853 / Points Allowed 323
11. Ontario Coyotes (A1) 13-3 / Playoff wins 1 / Points for 804 / Points Allowed 278
12. Roman Raiders (A1) 13-3 / Playoff wins 1 / Points for 639 / Points Allowed 319
13. Oshawa Hounds (A1) 12-4 / Playoff wins 1 / Points for 687 / Points Allowed 383
For A2 although the Punishers have a better record than the Hounds, they did not get a playoff win which weighs more in Bort's factoring than record. The next thing in line besides these factors is post season exhibition wins not counting friendlies. These have yet to be determined but in the order it is laid out on the wiki - they fall behind the stats I have here. I am not positive if the order they are listed in is exactly a order of importance, just a guess.
