The Greats lost and the Raiders lost to teams that prepared well and ran the gameplan that gave them the best chance of winning. That's not cheap. It's not an exploit. It's a matter of finding a defense that can stop it (and some defenses have been able to).
All this "well you guys ran the ball 70 times" is getting ridiculous. One of the most dominant teams in college football history, 1995 Nebraska, lined up and shoved the ball down everybody's throats while running five run plays constantly. Teams knew exactly what they were doing. Do you think that the coach opposite Osborne said in his press conference after the game "Gee, if the Cornhuskers hadn't been so cheap and decided to throw the ball, we would have won"? I seriously doubt it.
To the teams that complain about equal-leveled teams not being able to stop the run, go out and spend this offseason building your team's levels. YOU control how highly leveled your team is through recruiting.
To the teams that claim the play can't be stopped, I'll tell you that you're wrong. Go out and find a team that was able to stop it and find out their strategies. You don't have to reinvent the wheel.
/End Rant
