Warrior General Games

I'm bored. I feel like revisiting season 3, and checking out what has happened to the APL originals. By some stroke of luck, I still have my score projector from Season 3, so getting team names is easy. I'm just gonna run down the schedule of Conakry in order, I guess.

Conakry Coyotes: The first 16-0 APL team flamed out after 2 seasons, and hasn't really recovered. Gone through multiple team owners, and are now about to be demoted to Africa A. http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?season=3&team_id=2673

Zambia Hungry Hungry Hippos: Went 10-6 in Season 3, and stayed around until they were swapped in Season 6 in a trade that brought us the Sierra Leone Stallions. Currently a .500 team in some Europe BBB league. http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=2675

Namibia Slugs: A 5-11 team in S3, after going under, they eventually sank to Africa A under new management, where they actually went to the second round of the playoffs. http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=2667

Mali Mirage: One of the few old APL teams I really miss. Went 8-8 before getting bounced out of the playoffs by Conakry. Went through a few owners who kept selling, and now the team is slumming in Africa A. http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=2679

Tsavo Maneaters: The footsteps in the shadows were a great piece of APL while they were here, going 12-4. After disbanding, they sunk to Africa A1, where they've gone through owners just like the Mirage. http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=2674

Liberia Hornhuskers: One of the first whipping boys of APL. Never really accomplished much besides losing. Currently a mediocre Africa A team under new management. Just lost their first round playoff game by over 100. http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=2670

West Coast Warriors: The team that went from APL to USA AAA for Fight Club (hahahaahahahahah). Not surprisingly, they got wrecked in USA AAA, and are now in USA BBB, although still with the same owner. 15-1 and in the playoffs, they're seemingly one of the only teams to leave APL and be successful.

Lake Opeta Legionnaires: One of the 4 APL originals remaining. Pretty good imo. http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=2676

Cairo Emperors: Another one of the few APL teams remaining. Have started falling off the map, but are nowhere near relegation ranks. http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=2672

Babylon Bombshells: Again, one of the few APL originals. No longer owned by BYANG, at the least the team is still up here. http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=2668

Hounds of Anubis: I remember them slowly getting demoted through the ranks, before finally getting sold and moved to A-level. Went 12-4 this season before getting blasted out of the playoffs. http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=2681

Tangiers Cape Buffalo: I don't know if they still have the same owner, but they still have the same name, and they've made a good turnaround in Africa A. A 14-2 playoff team, they're still alive down there. http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=2671

Togo Party: I'm pretty sure I remember them sucking and selling after 1 season. Currently 0-16 in Africa A. Haha. http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=2669

Durban Donkeys: One of the originals that had a great group of guys who eventually resigned to getting demoted out of APL. Went 13-3 this year in AAA, and is actually still alive in the playoffs. Could the Donkeys be on their way back? http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=2666

I don't think I missed anyone, but there are at lest 7 remaining APL teams.

SheVegas the PM'ing you thing seems like way too much work. You should consider getting a free host and making a webpage dedicated to the history of Conakry and the Legionnaires then just linking it up whenever needed. You could update the page with all of the history so that you don't have to constantly type it out every time someone PM's you and asks.

The initial setup of the webpage might take a while but in the end you'd probably save yourself some time.

That would cost be to much money hosting that website with all of your championships Chuggs.

Tangiers are still owned by the same owner that started the team.
