Lion conference knows which teams will play in the post-season. What we don't know is who will play whom.
Unless the have changed, it appears the Woodys have locked up the number one seed. As long as the Dessert Carts win against the Bloody Mess in Week 16 they'll hold the two spot. If not, they could drop all the way to the five spot, depending on the outcome of the Jellystoners vs. the Woodys, while the Mess rises to four.
If the Woodys and Carts both win and the Most Favored and Blessed Ashanti Empire of Ghana does its job against Da Booty, the top three stay the same, Ghana moves up to four on strength of tiebreakers, the Mess goes to five and the Jellystoners to to six. If the Woodys lose and the Carts win, the Jellystoners go to four, the Most Favored go to five, and the Mess go to six.
The seven and eight spots will be decided in a head-to-head matchup between the Rabids and Bad Doggies next week.
Over in the Elephant Conference, there's still a question as to who gets the eight spot and who gets the top spot. A win by the Bungles over the Big Chickens would put them in the top spot by virtue of the head-to-head tiebreaker. I won't pretend to know who wins the scrum at 2 if the Chickens win. Five and Six are set with the Tarbabies and the Train to Nowhere. What happens between the 1337z, the Skinnies and the Icarus Worriers is beyond me and it's too late for me to take time researching the outcomes of three teams I have nearly no chance of playing in the playoffs.
In any event, I'm loving the fact that here comes the final regular-season and there's still no firm matchup in either conference for the first week of the playoffs.
