Interesting -- Stockholm's got the best K-score now -- not complaining -- one thing I bet that you can't accout for in this system is team chemistry -- Tallahassee for example is a far stronger team now that their team chemistry has begun to recover making them a much tougher opponent (believe us) than they were in the first half -- same goes for Mali

System actually does take that into account, sort of, since games are weighted heavier based on how recent they are.

I'm also gonna make a note about this week's rankings: I broke the rules for this one and kept the Harbourmasters at first.
This is telling me that I definitely need to tweak the system for next season.

Stockholm got a higher K-Score gain than Harbourmasters last week due to playing a higher quality opponent. This week, Stockholm gained more points from blowing out the same quality of opponent that Harbourmasters won handily, but not by blowout.

I think I'm actually gonna put this to a poll to help better decide how to tweak it for next season.

For exactly this situation, should the Harbourmasters remain #1?

Reasons for:
-They're undefeated
-They beat the team that would otherwise be #1 head-to-head

Reasons against:
-staying ironclad to the rules of the ranking, Stockholm would be #1
-Stockholm is arguably the hotter team than Harbourmasters right now

I think that head to head definitely needs to count for something. We've improved as a team because our passing game has gotten a lot better, but until we can beat the Harbourmasters I don't really think we can call ourselves the top team.

How can you be hotter than an undefeated team? what's gets hotter than not losing a game?

If I gather correctly, the ranking isn't of which teams are the best -- it's of which teams are "hot", as determined by quality of win, quality of opponent, and timing of victories. I don't think it's an insult to Rotterdam to consider Stockholm the hotter team. Maybe the Syndrome is firing on all cylinders and the Harbourmasters are just going through the motions.

Well, its overall strength, but hotness plays a strong factor. Its meant to be a gauge of "who are the best teams *right now*".
As for why I consider Stockholm the hotter team, they've been dominant against good opponents recently, while Harbourmasters *seem* to be on cruise control.

I like the fact that head to head is included. That overtime game was something else.

Well we can all look at the league standings to see who has the best record so I don't think you need to over-ride your K-score if it doesn't exactly match the actual standings -- if Stockholm has the highest K-Score then they ought to be listed at the top of the K-score standings -- in fact I'd be perfectly willing to concede the K-score title to Stockholm just so long as we get the GLB title

Haha, agreed.

Stockholm at 1st in the interest of consistency.

that said, looking at a few models now for next season, including what I mentioned before in expansing the ranges to include an A+ rating.

We gave Rotterdam our best effort and came up short without any goofy AI screw ups. To me, that makes them the better team. I think that's the key here.

The D grade Wolverhampton Wolves lost to the B grade Planview Bulldogs 30-24, after it was 17-17 tied after the 3rd quarter.
