This thread is for talking about the pro-bowl nominations. Hopefully it will help keep the other thread sorta clean and easy to actually sift through to view the nominations.

Devil's Advocacy starts...... now: I've seen these done before, but I've seen the format done differently. I think there is a problem we may encounter with the way we're doing it. First of all, most owners and GMs are going to pick people on their own team. Who wouldn't? So, the teams with no GMs (or even one) would be at a disadvantage if up to 3 staff members of another team can vote. Or what if 3 teams vote for their HB and there is a 3-way tie for a position that only has 2 spots? Do you have a tie breaker?

A good way we can get rid of bias is for each team to submit 1entire roster of players but each team has to limit including their own players by something like 2 or 3 players max. At the end of the season, the most picks for each position are selected. I've seen it done before and it worked great. That way we can eliminate bias and also have a little more variety with the voting to avoid gridlocks and such. The purpose of a Pro Bowl is to get the best players selected, not each team's favorite players.

Just an idea, but I think it may keep things more fair for everyone. Thoughts?

I do like that idea. When the voting comes up, each team submits their votes for each position with only 3 players maximum being from thier own team.

This is a good idea, I'll update the original nominations thread with it.
