What are the chances that the #1 and #2 teams in the East AND West would face off just after the midway point of the season?

The Eastern Matchup: http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=1613&team2=1202

The history:
http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=219557
http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=297949

Tennessee has the #8 passing offense and #7 rushing offense in A6.
Boston has the #2 rushing offense.
Tennessee has the #3 passing defense and #2 rushing defense in A6.
Boston has the #8 passing and #5 rushing.

This has all the makings of a classic game, with the winner likely earning homefield through the conference championship game.

Generally the schedules are set so the more evenly matched teams on top tend to play on weeks 2, 9 and 15.

I am not sure the logic Bort uses but it always seems to run that way.

Must be that Bort is a Patriots lover. Their 18-1 season had three big (very interesting) games:

Week 2: Chargers vs Cheaters (at least how it was billed in these parts)
Week 9: Chaps (Colts) vs Cheaters (again, how it was talked about)
Week 15: Worst AFC team against the best

...Ok, just kidding. Da Bears / Fury game is going to be great.

Good luck today, Boston. I think we're ready. Its always hard to tell in these close matchups, though.

well that was fairly epic....you guys have a knack at coming back down in the 4th quarter....

That was way too close for my liking. I'll take the win, but you guys really took it to us.

I wish I could figure out our turnover problems. No way we should have won the game with 5 fumbles lost and an interception. I also have to wonder why you run a play with 46 seconds left (in FG range) and weren't able to kick a FG.

Again, not complaining (I'll take the win), but that was crazy.

By the playoffs, if these two teams matchup again I see Tenn. winning semi-easily.

The Bears had us - the game shows that you need to tweak the 4th quarter 2 minute drill logic... EPIC game. Here's one of my "favorite" - sorta... It is typical of the game.

Special teams crazyness!

Oh, and good game Bears! We'll see you in the playoffs if we can get past the #8 seed in the first round. For our sake, I hope you clinch the #2 seed and are in the other bracket!

No i have it set up to kick a FG there but i don`t have any clue why it didn`t kick it. I don`t see how it took 46 seconds to line up for a Fg and not get a play off. Makes no sense. I know why you have the turnover issues, it was a big part of our gameplan, but thats all i will say :-).

Good game, we messed up a couple things in the AI and couldn't take advantage of all those fumbles...tough game to swallow especially with a good sim.
