Warrior General Games

Not a lot of movement this week in the rankings. Ft Campbell jumped past Lincoln on the strength of a 59-0 pounding of JetNation, while the 30-0 beating Lincoln doled out to Recife wasn't enough to hold their number 4 spot.

All this will change after Saturday though! 4 teams enter (undefeated), two teams leave (undefeated).

Thanks again StickMan. I'm having a hard time with a two loss team jumping an undefeated team. I still don't think there is enough weight on losses. You also shouldn't get extra points for a rediculous blowout. You should maybe get the same amount of points for a 30 point win as a 50 or 60 point win. You should just get points for a convincing win. Anyway, I appreciate your time StickMan.

"The Bomber" agrees with putting a little extra weight on Wins/Losses

I agree that more weight should be put on Wins/Losses.

How about an undefeated Boise State vs USC, or LSU, or Ohio State or Florida with one loss. Do you really think an undefeated Boise State is better than any of those teams, even if they have 2 loses.

Wins and losses matter, but they can also be misleading.

I agree if you are overrated Ohio State playing in the extremely soft Big Ten (11).

I've seen enough of Ohio State, Michigan, Illinios and the rest of the Big Ten to know that the entire league is a bit overrated. They play slower than the rest of the country. SC has proven this year after year. We are going to play tOSU in game 2 this year so I'm excited to see what we are going to do against them.

Pete Carrol is a hell of a coach, I won't deny that. And he's done a fantastic job recruiting the last 5 years he's been in charge.

But Michigan is the winningest school in NCAA Football History. Now that old style Lloyd Carr is gone, watch for them to turn around that program.

Illinois is done now that Rashard Mendenhall is gone...

USC, Michigan..... both lost their QB's.

Let's see what Illinois QB Juice Williams can do without Mendenhall, you might be suprised. I think Mendenhall is great, but in that system (with Williams at QB) the RB will look great even if he is just average.

Last year was the exception, usually the Big 10 is better than the Pac 10 top to bottom.

I wouldn't say that usually the Big 10 is better. They are given more credit, but during bowl season, the Big Ten has started to get exposed.
