Am I going in the right direction to build a decent OT by the time season ends?

See this guide:

Simply put save your first 15 SP (skill points).
Intense train strength & blocking until you can combine your saved SP from leveling to the current strength skill to reach the first softcap. Softcap is the point in which it costs more than one SP to increase a skill by 1.
Once strength is softcapped intense train agility and blocking. This is the point where a decision is to be made. I say take strength to 61 and then blocking to 73. You will hear many different opinions on this. The point is to keep softcaps in mind when building and you will be fine.

Na, most builds are fixable but at level 1 sometimes its best to retire and start over as long as you have not spent any flex on custom eq or boosting you should get all the flex back for the player.

Really any plan is good to have starting out. It takes a while to get good at building players. Most people make lots of mistakes on their first builds.
