Game of the week
Toulouse Darkwolves vs The Amsterdam Admirals
D-Wolves have scary RB in Stenbeck. I feel like i am watching a little Barry Sanders dot out on the field. Amsterdam has a strong team, but the Demons showed their one weakness, the inability to control the run game. On the other side of the ball, I believe the Admirals have one of the strongest passing attacks in the league. The problem being that the D-wolves do not give up the long ball very easily. That being said, the Admirals have the ability to dink-n-dunk as well as throw the ball deep, so they will get some points. In the end though, clock management and the run game are too much for TAA
D-Wolves 34 -- TAA 28
Shetland Marauders vs. Portuguese Men-of-War
Well no secret here. The MoW are going to run the ball, then oddly start throwing it once the get into the red zone. Then they are going to come back on the next series and run some more, and then even more on the next, and by the end of the game they have 300 yds rushing and your defense looks as coherent as your nephews little league football team. The Marauders are a good team, but they don't have the answers on defense to stop the MoW and their offense won't have enough to overcome the the fumbles the MoW are going to cause.
Marauders 13 -- MoW 38
Black Country Knights vs. Dusseldorf Bulldozers
Before the season started, These two teams seemed to be easy picks for top 4 of the conference. Now the MoW, Stals and Demons are showing the rest of us that they are in the top tier as well. The Dozers have 4 losses, but by no means have those been scary losses (outside of the TAA game, in which it appears the Dozers decided not to game plan...at least not anywhere close to correctly, and they have since fixed that problem). BCK has a potent passing attack, and outside of an odd game against the Mob, Jack Montana has an impressive 31-3 TD-Int ratio with 4 outstanding WRs to throw to. Here is the crazy part of that, TE Shannon Dull and the HB crew carry as much, if not more, responsibility in the passing game than the WRs do. On the other side, BCK has opened up the doors recently in causing TOs, but the Dozers aren't much for turning the ball over so that aspect may be mute this game. Here is another thing, BCK has trouble when they can't stop the run, and HB BO MARSHALL is one to watch out for. I don't doubt he will show up and carry the Dozers in this game. Because I have a vested interest in the outcome, I hope the Dozers inability to win the tough, close games this year remains true for at least one more week.
BCK 24 -- Dozers 23
Itallion Stallions vs. Besancon Bisons
The Stals have an easy one this week and the next. Then they prepare for a very tough stretch with 4 games in the next 5 being against potential conference and league champions.
Stals 224 -- BISONS 0
Fareham Demons vs. Soft Fluffy Pancake Bunnies
The Demons are scary good, but kind of inconsistent. The SFPBs are even more inconsistent. The Demons are easily better, but I would not be surprised by a twenty point win by either team since both of these teams have identity issues more than Prince. Here is one (and it seems the only) point that each team has been consistent about, the Demons can run the ball and the SFPB cannot stop a decent HB, let alone the one I fear the most in The Reverend Doctor Slappy McWeathers.
Demons 42 -- SFPB 17
Sicilian Mob vs Cologne Drenched Playboys
I don't know much about the Playboys, other than they seem to be the most underperforming bunch i've ever seen. I hope they don't give up entirely, since I believe they can be good as soon as next year, but it seems they may have already thrown in the towel for this season. The Mob on the other hand are in a tough fight for the playoffs, and I know they have what it takes to come out on top in that fight.
Mob 37 -- Playboys 13
N.Y. Flanders vs. Bad Ems Stormtroopers
Two teams that have a lot of work to do for the next season. The troopers seem to have the advantage here and also are tied for 7th at 4-4, but their run to the playoffs will ultimately fall way short with the 6 top teams still remaining on their schedule. but, the good new is they get this game first.
Flanders 17 -- Troopers 31
Saint-Malo Corsairs vs. Blackpool Mountain Lions
Who's ready to watch this game!!! ...wait, really? I was just kidding...ohh you're the owner....sry.
