The top 6 teams are all within 1 game of each other. Time for things to start clearing up a bit.
GAME OF THE WEEK:
Miami Makos v Maine Hawks
One of the final two undefeated teams is in action against a team with one loss by one point. Sounds like a game of the week to me! The Makos beat that same team by one point. Does that mean the Makos are two points better than the Hawks? Maybe, or maybe like the NFL "that's why they play the game". The Makos' defense has been tremendous recently the Hawks have played a little D as well. This is a complete coin toss. I am hoping to jinx the Makos this time. Miami 21, Hawks 20.
OTHER GAMES:
Montana Grizzlies v Dakota Bison
Montana gets a bye this week and should be 9-0 when they face Houghton. Montana 255, Dakota 0.
Houghton Gremlins v Atlanta Wolves
Houghton is still stinging from their one-point loss after torturing Maine the same way the week before. Atlanta was won four straight, but this is the game that will tell us exactly where they are in the East, quite frankly. I think this one comes down to defensive line play and I like the Gremlins' d-line a bit better. Houghton 28, Atlanta 17.
Red River Chiefs v Destin Pigskin Pimps
RR gets a bye week before taking on their old BBB rivals NO next week. Red River 255, Destin 0.
Miami Hammerheads v Manhattan Massacre
Miami is three points away from being undefeated. Manhattan finally got back into the winning side of the ledger last game against an over-matched Da NOLA team. Manhattan actually has some nice levels starting, but they do not have the depth or the beef to hang with the Hammerheads. Miami 37, Manhattan 14.
New Orleans Poison v Pittsburgh Powerhouse
New Orleans really showed they have fight left against Maine. Pittsburgh had a bye week last week but has had some vile losses along the way. Pitt does have the levels to hang with NO, but something is wrong tactically or with builds as they don't play like it. New Orleans 42, Pittsburgh 21.
Bowdoin Polar Bears v Vice City Mambas
The winner of this game stays on the fringe of the playoff race. Vice City has been through the ringer schedule-wise and Bowdoin has a decent record, but all of their wins are against lesser teams. I think VC's passing game gets back on track here. Vice City 35, Bowdoin 21.
Da NOLA Brah!!! K&B Purples v Buffalo Beasts
Poor Da NOLA probably should not have been place in this division. While their builds are good, their levels are suited to BBB. Buffalo has played with some great pride and I expect that to pay off this time around. Buffalo 24, Da NOLA 10.
