Danish Vs McNuggets
The McNuggets fresh off the loss to PM get top ranked Danish as a reward. Danish looked better against Guam after the near disastrous loss to Siracusa. Danish should control this game from the start, as the McNuggets were very vulnerable early agaainst PM but tightened up when the game was already out of reach. They cant afford to get that far behind to Danish also, but, the discrepancy in levels early on and the inability to stop the run will hurt the McNuggets. Danish scores early, builds a lead, and holds on for the rather comfortable win.
The" We need to right this ship" game
Bendigo vs Telstar
Bendigo coming off 2 losses to AA vets McNuggets and Knights seek to right the ship against Telstar. Bendigo has had some struggles the past two games and the blowout loss to the Knights was tough to handle. Telstar, despite losses has gotten better and better and are looking to beat a mid teir team and try to get into the playoff hunt and out of the bottom group. Unfortunately for Telstar, Bendigo should rigth this ship and win. But, this game will be closer than the guys from Bendigo would like.
The " Not happening twice ina row" game
Taylor vs Puerto Rico
Taylor coming off a tough loss to Trilla finds themselves in a game with Puerto Rico, once again seeking to keep their minimal streak going. Unfortunately they get Taylor at the wrong time. After the loss Taylor will be fighting mad and take it out on the Coquis.
The "Still searching for respect" game
Cobden vs Shrooms
I will NOT underestimate Cobden again. This team has moved up and seeks to be the top dog coming up from A league. After a huge win over the GCMM where they took advantage of some huge mistakes and parlayed it into 50 points, they get the Shrooms who have faltered after early season momentum. Cobden is a very solid team and with Bendigo, PM, & Danish on the horizon, would liek to solidify their spot in the top group. They will do so easily.
The " We can win this game...Maybe?" Game
Guam vs Suva
Suva seeks to end the futility against Guam. Guam was throttled by PM but looked better against the Danes in the loss. Suva is just having a rough season and this game, though closer, wont be their first win. Guam gets back in the W column.
The " Wrong game, Wrong Team, Wrong Time" Game
GCMM vs Aussies
The poor Aussies catch the Men after a disappointing loss to Cobden. The Men are ticked and take it out on the Aussies. This game is not in doubt as I write this up. In fact, it is already 21-0 GCMM.
The " We know you dont we" Game
Siracusa vs Trilla
Siracusa has not been out of game yet this season, the largest loss in conference being by 11 to PM. They hung tough with Danish and lost by one when they had the ball on the Danish 11 as time ran out. Trilla knocked off Taylor in a fabulous game. Trilla loves to run the ball. Siracusa was the one team so far who shut down the PM run game. A test of wills between two teams who are very familiar with one another and who gameplan very well. Both have had early season tests but Trilla has managed to win one of two. Both have heartbreaking losses to the Danes. But, I think Trilla has the chops here to eek out this win. They have beaten Siracusa in both prior meetings and the trend continues, BUT, this will be the closest game these two have played.
Game Of The Week
PM Vs Knights
The Knights are rolling and face undefeated PM. By the numbers and the bars, the Knights are the favorite even over undefeated PM. The Knights have a great run defense, but, run into the top HB in the league. PM rose up after some jawing last week and ripped the McNuggets, but, this game will be a huge test. Last season PM only beat the knights 31-24 and this game will be even more of a test. I think the slamming the Knights had at the hands of the GCMM was an anomoly and they will play tough. If PM doesnt jump out early, this game will be a war. I think it is the same result as last season. PM escaoes with a close win, but, the Knights prove they are a force to be reckoned with.
