Rather create a new thread each time, I will just edit and bump this one.

An "X" denotes" clinched playoff berth. "Y" denotes clinched a home playoff game. "Z" denotes clinched East regular season title.

Current Edition: Week 16

Note: "quality win" is defined as a win over another team in my top 10. If a team drops out of the top 10, I will still leave them on the quality wins list.

Z 1. Miami Hammerheads (14-1) Previous #1
Miami gets one last romp-over before the playoffs start. The only mystery left for them is their first postseason opponent. Quality wins: Maine, Atlanta, Montana, Makos, Houghton, Vice City, New Orleans, Buffalo. Losses: Red River.

Y 2. Houghton Gremlins (13-2) Previous: #3
Barring an upset at the hands of VC, Houghton will be the #2 seed. They were pushed by a quality RR team, so a nice win there. If they win this week, the Gremlins will get Atlanta first. Quality wins: Red River, New Orleans, Montana, Atlanta, Maine. Losses: Miami Hammerheads, Miami Makos.

X 3. Red River Chiefs (12-3) Previous: #2
Difficult loss this week and that losing streak puts a home game in jeopardy. They have to beat the Makos to host a game. If They lose, they play in Miami. Either way they will likely play the Makos twice in a row. Quality wins: VC, Maine, Hammerheads, Atlanta, Poison. Losses: Buffalo, Montana.

Y 4. Montana Grizzlies (12-3) Previous: #4
A very nice win against Maine clinches a home game for the Grizzlies, even with a loss to Bowdoin, which is virtually impossible. They Grizzlies are locked into playing Maine first unless VC pulls an upset against Houghton. Quality wins: Maine, Buffalo, Vice City, Red River, New Orleans. Losses: Hammerheads, Makos, Gremlins.

X 5. Miami Makos (12-3) Previous: #5
Huge game against RR this week in terms of a home game (see above). Quality wins: Montana, Maine, Houghton, Vice City. Losses: Hammerheads, Atlanta.

X 6. Maine Hawks (10-5) Previous: #6
Still #6, as it has been for most of the season--at least I got that much right! Will play the Grizzlies again barring the much-discussed VC upset possibility. Quality wins: Atlanta, New Orleans, Bowdoin. Losses: Montana, Hammerheads, RR, Houghton, Makos.

X 7. Atlanta Wolves (9-6) Previous #7
Atlanta really needed to beat the Poison and they came through in a very close game. This clinches the playoffs and the #7 seed, regardless of their outcome with Pittsburgh. Quality Wins: VC, NO, Buffalo, Makos. Losses: Grizzlies, Hammerheads, Maine, Houghton, Las Vegas, Red River.

8. Vice City Mambas (8-7) Previous #10
VC again plays leap frog in the very minor upset over Buffalo. If they don't beat Houghton this week it is all for naught however as Buffalo has a gimme. Quality wins: Buffalo. Losses: Hawks, Red River, Montana, Makos, Wolves and Hammerheads.

9. Buffalo Beasts (8-7) Previous: #8
Images of the Music City Miracle resonate as Buffalo could have clinched a playoff spot and threatened for #7 with a win (ya, I know MCM was a playoff game). They have an auto-win this week but do not control their own destiny as they await VC's result. Quality wins: Red River. Losses: Montana, Hammerheads, Hawks, Gremlins, Makos and Wolves.

10. New Orleans Poison (7-8) Previous #9
With their heart-breaking loss, NO is eliminated from playoff contention. Quality wins: Makos, Bowdoin. Losses: Atlanta, Gremlins, Vice City, Red River, Hawks, Hammerheads, Grizzlies.

WTF get us out of that #1 spot. If I recall the Grizzlies handed us our ass last year. I expect they will repeat that performance.

Anywho great write up. I love reading these things and appreciate the effort of people less lazy than I that produce them.

Some of the depth we added at some key positions has been a great help that is for sure. I just like to surprise people, now we have a bullseye painted on our jerseys. Sheesh.

Great write up...I am just glad the Hammerhead was a step outside the top 5. After our horrible start last season with recruiting troubles and all..and having to scrap a play off game. I was awe struck by the fast and imo above exceptions start this season...So I will humbly accept any spot we are ranked
GL to all you..it is def looking like the med stretch could get rough and very interesting

Is it the curse of the #1? We shall see. Was a good game Houghton. The East is so tough. Any of the top 8 could win it all this season with the way things are shaping up. Gonna be hard really for anybody in the East to go undefeated. Good thing we don't use the BCS system. Nice work.
