some more notes on the system:

What do the grades mean?
Aside from being the primary ranking factor, they are an indicator of the quality of the team. As are the teams to beat. Bs are the competitive ones and should have no trouble making the postseason. Cs are the scrappers on the bubble fighting for those last playoff spots. Ds should be worried about staving off relegation. F.. well..
+ and - are another ranking aid and an indication of a team close to moving up or down a class.

How do you know the system is working?
When, barring big upsets, there is little up and down movement from week to week, and rank is not too different from record.

This ranking sucks. Team X should be Rank Y.
Its a new, homemade system. I *think* I've got it nailed down, but if you feel there's a glaring error, feel free to post your feedback so I can better tweak it. Also, this is just for kicks, not to be used for any official or wagering considerations. <.<

Great job -- many thanks -- hard not for us to be happy about Rotterdam's start, but we don't exactly feel like a favourite going in to our game with Bushy Park

Yea, i can see how you'd be worried after the two utter ass kickings you gave us last season..

PLEASE be confident about your chances. For the love of God someone be confident. This forum is turning into one of the most polite and boring in all of GLB. We'll be exchanging knitting patterns next.

You're going to kill us. Admit it. That;s what you're really thinking.

They didn't kick our arse twice. Second time they did, but first time we were all still recovering from New Year to care. Which is slightly worrying since we did better against them in the game we didn't gameplan for than the one we did

I really appreciate it, but I don't know how a 4-1 team that hasn't beaten any of the top teams can be tied with the Natural Killers for second. I would think 14 is about right.

Yeah, whoops, fixed.
Score/rank unaffected (error was made in the typing, not the calculations.. double checked just now to be sure)

This post brought an error to my attention. A small one, but now fixed.
Killers weren't properly awarded the full points that the system calls for for their OT loss to Plainview. This has been fixed.

Edit 2: Also fixed last weeks where the error first occurred. Funny thing is this actually brings the Killers into a tie with Syndrome *last* week, but Killers are a full point ahead now.

So what you're saying is that you're not going to gameplan for us then? Haha.
