Games to Watch

West Canaan Coyotes @ Darwin Mud Crabs

West Canaan, still standing strong at 4-0, is looking to continue their streak and stay at the top of Alpha this week. They face a very talented Darwin team that could be an unexpected bump in the road. While the Darwin Mud Crabs are not favored in this game, don't let that make you think they can't win. Because they certainly can. The Coyotes are certainly high powered but the Mud Crabs have weapons of their own. They're looking to be pull off the upset, if they can do just that this week, they could put themselves right back into the hunt, however, if they fall to the Coyotes this week, they could find themselves on the outside looking in before they know it.

Orangefield Jackrabbits @ Rapid City Rebels

OJR is coming of a close defeat this week against the Ghosts and they must strike quickly and deadly against the Rebels to stay afloat in a stiff Zeta conference, going down 2-3 could be fatal to their championship hopes, but they are slightly favored in this game despite the 'worse' record. The Rapid City Rebels, playing at home, are actually the underdog in this game. They're going to have to outplay the Jack Rabbits and it won't be easy. This game could truly determine which team stays afloat throughout the playoff hunt and which team falls beneath the tides.

Port Royal Predators @ Perth Cyclones

PRP could very well actually be the #2 team in this conference, lets not forget they are the current reigning OA4 Champs. They still have Florida Frenzy, also a current reigning champion, on their schedule. This week, they're going to be put to the test against the cyclones they're going to have to put it all on the field as they've done many times before and solidify their spot in the top 5 of Zeta.

Newcastle Ghosts @ Sumatra Sea Hawks

The Ghosts are coming off a week of defeating one of the most highly regarded, underrated competitors in the league, in OJR. They look this week to solidify a top 5 place in the Conference, and in order to do that have to put the Sea Hawks to rest. Clearly the competition is stiff in Zeta and the Ghosts have proven their ability to stick with it. The Sea Hawks come off a solid win over the NOrsemen and are going to be looking to continue that running momentum this week, if they can put down the Ghosts, they could be looking at 3rd place in the conference, pending other game outcomes.

*Game of the Week*

Endzone Warriors @ Florida Frenzy

While EW may have gotten stopped in a tough game against the Gators this passed week, that does not change the fact that THIS is their opportunity to regain the #1 spot in the Zeta Conference. The # of Undefeated teams is dwindling down and the potential Kings are starting to gather in the front row. EW, if they could pull the upset here could really get some teams back pedaling in regards to future competition. Florida Frenzy is ripping apart every obstacle they face, against a fierce Williamsport Soul Reavers team they made the Soul Reavers look like Chicken Squabble this week in a scrimmage, while the game may not mean anything, it certainly got people wondering if ANYONE could stop Florida. This week, we'll find out. If you miss it, it's your loss!

Excellent breakdowns of all of the games. No offense to Orangefield, but I don't think that Rapid City should be the underdog in that match up. We've been going against them since season 4 and they have proven to be fierce competitors. I see them winning by double digits.

While the Ghost haven't faced Sumatra for a couple of seasons now, we are greatly looking forward to renewing our battles against them...well, not quite battles as we've never beaten them, but I hope that will change with this upcoming game. Good luck to all!

the 'underdog label' was specifically based on 'matchup ratings' , not necessarily actual in-depth evaluations of the 'entire picture'.

Personally, ive seen 2 sides of the picture for both teams, no offense to EITHER team, from both teams i've seen a team that can achieve great things when they're playing at their best, and a team that sometimes underachieves. However, i think i could say the same thing about my own team too.

Could probably say that about a bunch of teams here, mine included.

Didn't mean anything about your breakdown on that game as I understand how the ratings can sometimes leave certain things out. Orangefield has a really good team, but I think their chemistry is taking a hit on them. So with that and the fact that I can attest to RCR's abilities just made me think that they would come out on top.

You are doing a great job with these, I'm very much enjoying them.

I definitely agree, don't worry no offense taken either. Furthermore, if you're not optimistic, you're doing it wrong LOL. Seriously though, Optimism is the only way to go imo. No matter the outcome, keeping moving forward!

Thanks for the compliments, glad y'all enjoy the write ups.

I will understand if the Frenzy aren't allowed in Game of the Week threads anymore , although I am looking forward to playing old conference mates like Arkansas State, Sumatra and Newcastle
