Haven't seen these since preseason so I figured I'd give it a shot. Here is how I see it based on the 3 games so far, divided into categories:
---------CONTENDERS---------
#1: Cleveland BrownSnakes (3-0) - These guys appear to be the unanimous favorites. Obvious choice.
#2: Prince Rupert Catsharks (3-0) - Somewhat lower levels for a contender, but solid gameplanning and some star players.
#3: Booty Bay Bandits (2-1) - Dropped their cross-conference game but just picked up a big win over the Quakes.
#4: Rancho Cucamongo Quakes (2-1) - Dominant running game, would have been #2 but they just lost to #3.
------PLAYOFF BUBBLE TEAMS------
#5: Calgary Mustangs (3-0) - Solid defense and undefeated record, but offense is questionable.
#6: Montreal Hawaiian Punch (2-1) - 2 solid wins over playoff bubble teams already. Lost their cross-conference matchup.
#7: Halifax Knights (1-2) - Lost 2 early but they look to have added several new players. The roster looks solid. Look for them to try and move up.
#8: Moncton Machine (2-1) - Solid offense, questionable defense. 2 good wins over bubble teams already.
#9: Frozen Tundra (1-2) - 2 close losses to good teams. These guys have the players to turn it around.
#10: Flin Flon Flyers (1-2) - These guys need a solid win to prove themselves. The roster looks solid and the chemistry is good.
#11 New Amsterdam Chronic (1-2) - Very tough early schedule. Solid group of LB's leads a talented defense.
------LONG SHOTS------
#12: Windsor Lumber Jacks (1-2) - Beat Pennybridge 7-6 to move up to 12. They appear to be too underleveled to make the playoffs.
#13: St Clair Ice Hawks (0-3) - Rough start for these guys. They are definitely capable of turning it around but they are in a hole for sure.
#14: Pennybridge Pioneers (1-2) - Solid game planning but a few glaring weaknesses and a tough loss to Windsor.
#15: Gergovie les Gaulois (1-2) - Won BBB #5 last season but appear to be outmatched here. They got blasted the last 2 games.
#16: Montreal Bullpups (0-3) - Will try to avoid going winless.
