So, after discovering some deficiencies (thanks to a couple folks who complained about some things utterly irrelevant to the deficiency) I have done some tweaking to the power ranking formula.

I will tell you this: As yet, I have not figured out a way to diminish a massive blowout against a crappy team to the point where it counts less than a tight win against a tough team. Feel free to PM suggestions (good lord, don't make this thread any geekier than I've already done), because at this point I'm at a loss.

That said, here are the week 2 power rankings.

Interesting that Madden was already tagged last ranking as inferior, and catastrophically dropped when the formula was re-adjusted.

I think I might be pretty close to there at this point.

I guess I'm still confused as to how the Stars are STILL ranked ahead of us...

Please read the second paragraph of my post.

This shit has nothing to do with chemistry and EVERYTHING to do with margin of victory.

Last year I capped MoV - but it didn't fix the problem. So this year I'm trying to find a way to fix it - and the way I've found really doesn't do much until week 5 or so, because the truly shitty teams don't separate themselves from the rest of the pack until they have a few losses under their belts.

griffin, you're the man! Thanks for the rankings, it's more then I could or would do, so I appreciate seeing this posted. It's fun to read and keeps things interesting.

I'll accept any scrimmages to prove it, even with our crappy chem right now which will be 100/100/100 at the end of the season.

I have a question for the league, what the hell is up with the grodno team in alpha? I see that the owner has many of the players on the team and that they all suck complete ass for their levels.

I noticed that the other day. There's no way he is even doing daily training with those guys.

Its almost like the guy has gone inactive since everyone was level 10 and hasnt trained or distributed points since, but he isnt inactive so I wonder.
