Alpha:

#1. Williamsport Soul Reavers, They jump up quick very early in the season with an amazing win over Sumatra. Williamsport has a nice roster, and if the first game is any indication, they definitely have a solid game planning staff. This will be one team that everybody will monitor for the season to come.

#2. Bay City Bohica, The Bohica really had a pretty powerful performance against a solid Coney Island team. Coney was one of the better teams in Zeta in season 7, OAA#2 toward the latter half of the season, and Bay City just shut them down. Very impressive start to season 8.

#3. West Canaan Coyotes, Really a solid win over the Gators. This is a very nice start to season 8 for the Coyotes. This is one heck of a team, and I am exited to see what they have to offer down the road.

#4. Samoa Piranha Monkeys, Very nice win in week one over Rockhampton (welcome to AA#2 Norseman). I am definitely sure this is going to be a interesting season for the Monkeys. The Monkeys have been in AA#2 for over two seasons now, I know they are itching to get out.

#5. Guam Gorillas, Obviously a win is a good way to start out. I am interested to see what Guam has to offer to AA#2, and I think they will offer a lot. Guam had a nice win in week one, but the fun gets going again in week two @ West Canaan.

Zeta:

#1. Florida Frenzy, You know, OA#3 has turned out some great teams (Florida, Palau, Boondock, ect...). Florida just dumped a pile on Johnston, and that is no easy task. Florida comes into season 8 as one of the most highly regarded teams in AA#2. BIG expectations face Florida, can they handle them?

#2. Perth Cyclones, Wow, that was a huge win over a great Easter Island team. Perth looks like they did during the closing of season 7. This is definitely going to be a team to fight with as the season goes onward.

#3. Sempre-Sabbath Phenix, What a win over Cairns. Definitely one heck of a start. SSP had a nice season last go around, and is looking for a better one in season 8. I am so ready to see how they fair in their week 3 and 4 matchups.

#4. Port Royal Predators, One of those teams that just looks pretty decent. Good talent, nice start... I am exited to see what happens in week 2. After the Newcastle battle, I will definitely know what I am looking at then.

#5. Rapid City Rebels, Ladies and Gentlemen, This will be one team to watch out for. Rapid City has the talent to lay a whipping down on anybody, anytime. Great start in week 1, but their toughest matchup of the season is in week 2. Man is that an amazing game.

I know that the rankings are not 100% correct. Those that keep up with my rankings, know that you have to have a few weeks under you to see truly what every team has to offer.

So I apologize to those who say these rankings are not perfect:
#1. They will never be perfect.
#2. It is to early for me to get an accurate reading of every team.

Great job as always with everything Brad. In any sport, rankings at the beginning are always subject to change quite a bit and some will stay around the same.

That's why u do them each week and have done a great job with it for quite a few seasons.

Just glad we got the season underway and I'm ready to see how everyone stacks up this year.

Thank you for the compliments. Did a great job, I'm surprised, but pleasantly so of course, to see WSR at the top of the Alpha list. But we're not alone in powerhouse competition that's for damn sure.

Made me think Jack...

For all of you newcomers to AA, and for those who have never seen my rankings.

Here is my guidelines, I look at:

Who you beat (game film, stats, records, ect.)

Who beat you (game film, stats, records, ect.)

Production vs the top teams in your division

Opinion

What I call, "Wow factor" (how impressive my initial feeling is does factor into the ranking somewhat, although a very, very minimal amount)

My rankings are NOT the best team overall, but who is the best right now.

I also do NOT count scrimmage games. I always play around on scrimmages to try and get new concepts and tricks. I never do my best on a scrimmage. That is my reasoning for not counting scrimmages; there is no way to know who is being serious or not.

Most of my ranking is made up of just analyzing game film, stat sheets, and opponent records. I compile all of that and put together my own little ranking system. Ultimately, I decide who I think goes where.

So, always remember that this ranking is based on facts, but also opinion.

Nice, thank you for that detailed explanation too. Again I appreciate it. Looking forward to this throughout the season I expect that to change A LOT, there's too many good teams here for it not to imo.

No joke. Last playoffs in OA#3 I went 13-1 on my predictions. Here I went freakin 6-8.

I guess Newcastle will have to win a few more to get into the rankings, That's okay we are new comers and need to prove ourselves, I hope we can make it on the list soon.

Great work like always.
