Just bored so I thought I'd jump in and do a week since nobody has decided to step up and take the job this season. Don't get your hopes up, and I am sorry if I don't predict your team.
Beltway Bandits @ Ethiopian Starvin' Marvins - 35-10 (correct)
Beltway is somewhat lucky to be in the league this season having gutted teams to thank for avoiding relegation. They are a high levelled bunch that could possibly be successful with any help from a decent AI. The Marvins on the other hand are a veteran crew that made the playoffs in season 7 and have a ligit shot at going to the finals in season 8. I don't see a complete domination, but more of an uncontended win for the Marvins.
Kenya Naturals @ Band of Brothers - 24-20 (incorrect)
Two new faces in the league, but both veteran teams. Each will compete for a playoff spot and should take this game very seriously. The matchup gives BoB the advantage, but I think I will go against it this time and say the Naturals will pull out a few trips and pull out a tight one. I expect a 4th place playoff showdown here, so this game could be more important than one may think a week two matchup should be.
Barbary Coast Pirates @ The Nile Denial - 34-14 (correct)
Two teams I can honestly say I know nothing about. I can still see this game being quite important to each team though. Both teams are around an 8th place playoff spot and will be in a race with each other to remain alive going into the post season down the road. The Pirates are coming off an embarrassing lose to the Dogs and should be putting in the extra time to wrap up this game.
Cape Verde Headhunters @ Katanga Diamonds - 207-0 (correct)
I was somewhat upset to see the headhunters go CPU this season. A team I have always had much respect for and enjoyed playing with. Katanga is coming off an impressive week 1 win off the Frogs and are going to be on vacation this week giving them a bit of extra time to watch some gamefilm for a tough week 3 matchup against the Marvins.
Red Sea Wave @ West Nile Virus - 52-34 (correct)
Hoping for a high scoring game here even though there wont be much contest. RSW probabably should have been in this situation a couple season ago, but have been haunted by playoff failure. This game will be over before it started with the Wave scoring big, and scoring early. West Nile needs to cross their fingers and start praying early for a playoff position.
Gabon Forest Dragons @ Fort Wayne Generals - 24 - 17 (incorrect)
I get the feeling the Generals don't take the regular season as serious as they could. With the acquisition (i kant spell) of Robb, they have the opportunity to be a top team in Lion. Gabon will fly under the radar again and make the playoffs without a problem as they did last season. This is an underdog pick by me, so Robb and Chivas better get off their asses and make it happen. (:
Charlie Don't Surf @ Freetown Palookas - 44-34 (correct)
Palookas are one of those teams that are very easy to overlook. However they can just as easily make you pay for the smallest of mistakes on field. I have played against them on a couple teams and have never felt too confident when match up with them. Charlie Don't Surf will drop to 0-2 on the way to a losing season and should miss the playoffs.
