Anyone get any in here?

I don't even know where to look for them. Is this just another means of the elite getting more elite and everyone outside of Pro leagues getting the shaft?

I really don't get it. The two players of mine who got them are a backup FB, and a 5th string WR/CB.

I think it's a stupid system personally. Most of our league endorsements went to Helsinki and WYW who aren't in our division anymore and one went to a team that has transferred to USA A.

Seems bullshit - i can't see any logic to how they were dolled out.

Surely the best players at each position should be the ones winning the endorsements? That can't be too hard to figure out if you work it from stats..

The logic sounds okay. One endorsement is awarded for each position in the league. Its based on Fame, where a higher Fame grants you a greater chance of winning (but doesn't guarantee it).

In real life, the best players aren't necessarily the most marketable ones. There are a lot of Pro-bowl caliber players that get passed over due to character issues or whatever. GLB doesn't have a "charisma" attribute, though. The weighted lottery is probably the best option to give everyone at least a chance. Otherwise it would just be a case of the rich getting richer,

Might be sensible if the single biggest contributer to fame wasn't just player age/levels.

It would think to me more logical to have the best performing players the more marketable - stat leaders that kind of thing.

According to the GLB Wiki, player performance is a contributor to fame:

"You will earn fame points for each game your player plays, as long as he as at an appropriate level for the league he is in. Fame points are also accumulated by winning trophies, and performing exceptionally well in closely matched games."

It seems that the teams who won League Championships are getting lots of endorsement deals. People are complaining about that, of course. It shows that its not completely random though. The best team in the league is going to have many of the elite players...and, well, they did win a championship after all.

Great, I was just saying that the biggest problem with GLB was too many close games. I think the more that we can do for the elite teams the better that is.

If it is it's a hell of a small factor.

I have a terrible player on a crappy team who has a lot more fame than my elite WR on my team in this league who's been tearing it up for a few years - only difference is one is 8 levels higher.
