I thought I would throw this out there to add some spice to this forum... flame away

#1: TALLAHASSEE THUNDER - Chemistry hurt them last season after a controversial merger. This season they look to their main goal, win a championship and they may have all the tools to get the job done. I don't see them losing to anyone moving up/down and I think they are just too powerful not to be #1 overall in the entire league. Prediction: 15-1 (I sense a trip-up and a temp boost game taking 1 away from them)

There are 9 57-overall teams in the A7 this season and that makes it quite difficult to put everyone in a place.... that being said

#2: Atlantis Whitecaps - I think they had the best offseason and will build off of the end of last season and secure a top 4 seed. Prediction: 13-3

#3: Carolina Bar Stars - Good offseason, good depth puts them in the top 4 as well. Prediction: 13-3

#4: Philadelphia Demonik - #1 rusher returns with a new Oline and more WR depth. Still a 'low level' team that plays high () Prediction: 12-4

#5: San Diego Blaze - The Blaze have a great team with great game planning. They had some bad slip-ups last season and their focus isn't always there. They could very well be a top 4 home playoff team. Prediction: 11-5

#6: Compton Colt .45s - Lots of moves this offseason and still only 3 WRs. Heavy run game much? 1 dimension puts you on the outside of the home playoff picture but certainly in the playoffs. Prediction: 10-6

#7: Fresno Jaguars - Are they ready for their return trip in the A7? I'm not sold on it. Played below expectations in the 13 and then just decided to win. Could happen again here but there is far more talent up this way... Playoff team but not a shocker. Prediction: 10-6

#8: Project Mayhem - They had higher players last year and couldn't win. 2 years away from the top but still in the playoff race. Could be better at the end when the chem comes back up. Prediction: 8-8

#9: SF Wildcats - They are better than the Mayhem, but I don't like the BBB14 so you're out of the playoffs in my predictions. Solid team with no one really leaving. Def a playoff threat and an every game threat to watch out for. Prediction: 8-8

The Others....

Grand Haven Mist - You had a great team, then a shit team, and now a rebuilt team. Lots of hard work recruiting doesn't leave too much time for planning. Plus I saw what the free agent market had to offer, if you were that involved in it then I think you're not nearly as good as you were last season. Pity. Prediction: 7-9

Dallas Red Raiders - Not bad, not good enough. Prediction: 7-9

Houston Space Cowboys - Still a year away but sticking with it, I like that. Prediction: 7-9

Kalamazoo Wolverines - Who? Prediction: 6-10

Atlanta Mutts - Eh. Prediction: 6-10

Elk Rapids Elks - Welcome to the A7 (hint: close your builds and recruit CBs). Prediction: 5-11

Virginia Punk Rockers - Too soon... Prediction: 3-13

Galaxy Aces - Still don't like you guys much. Could be the creativity you exude. Prediction: 1-15

Disclaimer: Blow me

Bets on who goes CPU first in the always tough A7?

Pretty damn good list-

I think both Project Mayhem and Fresno should be a little higher, they looked really good in the preseason and you can assume that they maxed out equipment overall, so they'll play a little higher than those of us with out cash. Compton should challenge for a home playoff game.

I agree with Grand Haven, they'll drop off big time. They played played two better teams from the East and lost pretty soundly.

SF looks good too and beat a solid Elk Rapids team.

Philly will be stout this year, esp toward the end of the year when their chem catches up. Moroney is a beast and will have a big year.

Atlanta Mutts will be a good deal lower, I can't see them winning 6 games.

Thanks for putting up the rankings btw, I'm GMing 5 teams this season, as opposed to 2 last season, so I dunno if I'll be able to give game by game updates again heh.

Yeah I finished scouting the Elks last night after re-doing the DAI so I thought I would just throw one up. I still need to setup the RPI spreadsheet and junk but I have a week before it meaningful anyways. RPI should be pretty good this year with no truly bad teams out there. The first team to go under will fuck it all up though.

I'm just saying, we spanked the demonik in the preseason, but compton beat us a close tight knit game. Just keep that in perspective. I been in the same league as compton long enough to know that you're definitely overlooking them =)

I'm hoping the Bar Stars can hold up to those expectations. We did finally manage to fulfill all our recruiting needs in the off-season and didn't lose anything of consequence. Just hope we can get over whatever hump held us back in two very close losses this pre-season. We've got to win some of those games against quality teams like the two New Orleans squads if we want to be seriously considered a top four team.

I won't argue too much, because there are so many ways this league could fall. I think we will be better than 6th, but what do I know. Our roster is thin at WR, I'll give you that, but we do have last year's leading WR. We also had 3 CBs going into last season and a lot less talent overall and we finished 8th. Tallahassee looks like a beast and if they don't win it all then it could be a major choke job. For my folding team, I'll go with San Diego. Their roster is rather thin at some positions and the Owner and GMs could hit the hash a little too hard and just stop caring. My top 9 would look like this:

1.) Tallahassee- Shouldn't even be in A7. Yall should scrimmage Bay Area this season, I might take yall.
2.) Atlantis- They are on a huge upswing
3.) Carolina- No holes, these guys are solid. It hurts me to put yall here.
4.) Compton- I think we could finish higher than this, but I've got to fill a few holes.
5.) Philly- They are a low level team who won't be able to compete with the big guys
6.) Project- Great roster, but their chemistry might plague them much like Tallahassee last season
7.) San Fransisco- I think they will keep the momentum from their great season.
8.) Grand Haven- Their A7 experience helps them to squeak into the playoffs
9.) Fresno- 1st team out. Even though they won the Championship, they could fall on hard times in A7.

Dallas will finish in the top 8. Just thought I would throw that out there. Feel free to roast me if it doesn't happen, but there is no way in hell it doesn't happen.

Agreed.

Good to see that people still troll this forum despite being dead the entire offseason

i think dallas is still a season away.

thanks for the complements, but i don't think we could play on the same field as bay area right now. maybe win 1 out of 5 with 100/100/100 chem. they've got a stacked team and really know how to gameplan well.

I was wondering if you could explain this, "Played below expectations in the 13 and then just decided to win." Didn't quite ollow your meaning on that and just wanted to see if I agreed.

I'm just hoping to win a few games up here, first time we'll be attempting to play up in the big leagues and even I know it's a whole new ballgame at this level. We're just a simple team com'in into the big city, probably get blinded by all the lights and other fancy stuff. I hope we don't disappoint you dawgs, but appreciate the comments.

Here's a question for you, how many teams have won BBB 13 and gone on to not make the playoffs the next season in A7? Well, I'll go on record, we won't be the first.

Also, thanks for doing the rankings Otter, may not agree with them all, but it's always good to bring some discussion to the forums. Who knows, maybe it will inspire me to give the conference a better look and do my own.
