Updated for week 15 results:
Both West and East have locked up playoff spots. Only remaining interest is in what match-ups will be generated and who get top seeds.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Who will get a valuable home game and who will be on the road? One team will miss out from the three still in the race for that home game seed.

Current top 8:
Waco (14-1), Bel Air (13-2), Oakland (11-4), Great Plains (11-4), Dallas (10-4-1), Las Vegas (10-5), Spicewood (10-5), New Brunswick (9-6).

Possible top 8 finish...projected record (current against possible playoff teams) (remaining opp ranking) - projected losses in last 5 record
Bel Air - 1 tough matchup1...14-2 (4-2) (10th) 0
Waco - 1 tough matchup...14-2 (8-1) (2nd) 0 or 1
Oakland - 1 tough matchups...12-4 (5-3) (6th) 0 or 1
Great Plains - 1 tough matchups...12-4 (3-3) (4th) 0 or 1
Las Vegas - 0 tough matchups...11-5 (4-3) (15th) 0
Spicewood - 1 tough matchups...11-5 (3-4) (8th) 0
Dallas - 1 tough matchups...10-5-1 (3-3-1) (7th) 0 or 1
New Brunswick - 0 tough matchup...10-6 (2-5) (14th) 0

Waco and Bel Air look to clinch Western conference top seed, but Bel Air has a small advnatage in the final cross-conference matchup. Oakland, Great Plains hold a 1/2 game lead in the standing over Dallas for the 3rd and 4th seeds...all face playoff bound teams from the East in the final game of the season, with seeding and financial impacts at stake. Spicewood is looking for some help to keep from facing a juggernaut in Bel Air with revenge in their minds for the 10-9 defeat back in week 5.

Relegated down will be Ambridge and/or Chicago...RGB holds tie breaker over both. Is it two or one from each conference?

Good luck to all!

Yeah, this conference definitely has tremendous parity compared some other ones out there. But I think it largely has to do with the fact that most of the teams in our conference have great owners and GMs. There are people out there who complain about not being able to get people on their teams, but when I look through most of the teams in our conference, they're filled with lvl 8+ humans.

For many of these games it boils down to all the other things like tactics, energy, chemistry and some luck, which makes seeing the results pretty exciting. Upsets are waiting right around the corner for a team that makes a mistake and the consequences are pretty brutal.

We pretty much have Oakland and Waco, then a complete logjam with 7-8 teams. Then you have Miami, The Mist and Portland who have shown improvement and RGB, Chicago, Ambridge struggling.

The questions are, will Oakland or Waco slip up again?

Who from that logjam will rise up and separate themselves from the rest?

Which team from the bottom will step up and avoid relegation?

great write up, but i think the n00bs will come out 1 game ahead of where you have em listed. i know we have been hemoraghing (spelling?) yards in the secondary, but i think we get wins against dallas, miami, ambridge, pocono, a squeaker with portland, and an upset against vegas. Overall 11-5 and grabbing 7th or 8th into the post season....possibly 6th depending on what happens above us.

Could be...I just kind of split the "tough games" as toss ups...

Moving up would keep you from matching up with a top seed...will be a fun race to the end of the regular season...

First great write up.

I'm just curious as to where the next two losses are going to come for Great Plains?

You listed two teams that you feel will be tougher games, so I've got to figure you have us loosing them both wich would slide us down to 5th not 3rd. While there is no doubt that both Spicewood and BelAire will be tough games right along with our non-conference game we currently match up better than every team we have left this year.

I can actually see us and Oakland winning out and Waco's only possible other loss coming at the hands of the east. So I'd actually give the nod to Oakland to end 15-1, Waco 14-2, Great Plains 14-2, Spicewood 12-4, Bel Aire 12-4 as your top 5.

That's me just putting my thoughts into it. I know we've all got our own opinions and I'm totally Homering this but the mathcups do show proof.

We drew a tough team from the East for our last game (Rutgers Scarlet Knights, 7-2) that as of now could go either way. Dallas, Bel Air and Spicewood will also be good games. It'll be an exciting conclusion to the season, that's for sure.

I think I answered this...I looked at the tough matchups, playoff calibre teams, and tried to split those games down the middle...not trying to match up specific teams with losses...it is VERY likely that one or more teams of those you mentioned will complete the regular season without additional losses...Great Plains actually has the toughest remaining schedule with 5 "projected playoff" teams. I may have miscounted somewhere, but giving Great Plains 3 wins from those 5 was about the middle I gave everyone...OK, I only gave Spicewood one loss out of 3 games with playoff type teams...

Each team will be making moves to enhance it's playoff chances. Whomever makes the best moves, creates the best game plan, and executes in the sim, will likely get some favorable results...

It will be interesting final 7 weeks of regular season...
