USA A7 East Week 10 Matchups

Game of the Week
Margaritaville Fins (9-0-0) at North Side Dream Killers (9-0-0)
The two unbeatens of the conference meet up for the game which will probably decide the number 1 seed for the playoffs. The Fins are easily the paper favorites, but the Dream Killers look better beyond that.

Jacksonville Stars (2-7-0) at New Hampshire Dragons (7-2-0)
Should be an easy one for the Dragons as they hope to remain up top the conference as the playoffs get closer.

Waco Green Puffers (7-2-0) at Pocono Mountain Highlanders (2-7-0)
Waco should take this one, as they’re battling with New Hampshire for the third seed.

Elk Rapids Elks (1-8-0) at Slutgers Scarlet Knights (7-2-0)
Got to go with those dirty Jersey boys in this one, they’re another member of the third seed battle right now.

Chicago Pterodactyls (6-3-0) at Harrisburg Hawks (5-4-0)
Hawks seem to have a slight edge, but this will probably be the second best game of the week, could be an offensive showcase as both teams weaknesses lay in their defenses.

Atchafalaya Swamp Weretigers (4-4-1) at MIAMI ROADFROGS (2-7-0)
Weretigers should take this one as well, as they’re fighting to stay in the playoffs.

Carolina Cardiac Cats (4-5-0) at Cleveland Kardiac Kids (1-8-0)
Cardiac versus Kardiac this week, Cats should take this one as they battle for the eight spot in the playoffs.

Orlando Ninjas (2-7-0) at Washington Poison (3-5-1)
Poison look to remain in the playoff race as they battle the lowly Ninjas. This is a must win game for the Poison if they want to be playing after May 26th.

Yes Western Conference, we wrote an article.

I'm gonna alternate between their game and mine tomorrow, cannot wait. Probably the regular season game of the year.

This should be a good week to help clarify the playoff picture a little bit, if the teams that are supposed to win, take care of business then that will seperate the top from the bottom. I hate to use the phrase must win, but i honestly think that this is a must win week for Pocono, Jacksonville, Orlando, and Miami, to drop to 2-8 at this point might be too much to overcome with only 6 games left. The bad part is they are all 4 playing teams that also need to win to gain some seperation.

Washington's game isn't so much a "must win" however it sure would be hard to fight back from 3-6-1, so i would put it in the catorgory of "really, really need to win"

Chicago vs Harrisburg should be an interesting one, whoever wins this one will be looking really nice and will be very much in the hunt for one of the 4 playoff "paydays", the loser will have to regain focus to try and stay in the top 8 for the remaining 6 games.

Fins vs Dream Killers. How fitting of a name for North Side. I see this one being close for the first 2-3 quarters and then I think my Fins will suffer the same fate as the previous 9 victims of the Dream Killers. Too much depth and no weakness anywhere. The winner of this game will be in the Driver's seat for home field advantage throughout the playoffs, which could be a $6,000,000 paycheck to whomever gets 4 home games.

I honestly believe that 8-8 might get you in the playoffs, possible 9-7 (or 8-7-1). It seems that most of our top teams, play the top teams in the west in week 16, so that does give a little bit of a cushion for the teams not playing one of the West's powerhouses. I think it's going to take about 12-13 wins to get in the top four and insure a home playoff game(money).

Overall, the results from this week should help define what each team needs to do to get around 8-9 wins to make the playoffs, or the 12-13 wins to host a playoff game. (i could be way off on those numbers, just my opinion).

I haven't looked too much at the BBB league that will be sending us four teams next season (2 for East and 2 for West), but i do know that some of those BBB guys have teams that would compete at many of the pro league level.

Best of luck to everyone, it should be another week full of great games.

I know we in Jacksonville feel like our last match was one we really should have won, and to fail to get that elusive third win was pretty disheartening. Now we need to go and beat a team that should probably be able to get a win off of us.

Playoffs?! Are you kiddin' me?! PLAYOFFS?!
Still a lot of football to be played. I'm not gonna jinx us and say shit! Seriously, I really hope we (Chicago) get some homefield love. I'm just happy we got a shot at the playoffs. I really didn't think it was realistic at the start of the season. Hell, I'd have been happy with a winning record at the start. Whatever happens, happens. I'm just happy we're competiative. Not to be a Hater on the Dream Killers, but I'm leaning towards the Fins to Win. That cat's been getting a lot of shit for his team for no go reason, IMO. Keep your chins up and keep it breezy East!

The playoff picture is still well up in the air, essentially 10 teams are in the fight, and seeds 3-8 are still up not decided.

I do agree that there is some separation though, and that separtation should be more apparent after tomorrow. North Side vs. Fins, it will be a playoff atmosphere. I really think that both of our teams have small strengths over eachother, but I honestly believe that it is going to come down to how the owners gameplan their tactics. I believe my players are good enough to win, so I guess I put the pressure on myself and my GMs. I think I need to pull a few tricks from up my sleeve.... if I have any.

Little over 2 hours til game time, I've gotta go golfing with my future boss, so I won't be back in time.

Here's to hoping my team scores anywhere near as much as I do today.

Fins look almost unbeatable on paper, North Side is going to serious need to outsmart them to win.
