New Ownership Sees Challenge, But Looks to Start Things Off Right.

Change is hard in any form of business, but soon to be official new owner of the Plasmazone.net Chivas, Rooster93, knows that purchasing a team mid-season is going to have its drawbacks. "One of the problems with taking over a team so quickly mid-season is that oftentimes the roster looks like Swiss Cheese after the previous owners leave" Rooster93 said. "But as a former GM of this team I know what it takes to win in this league and have hit the ground running from hour one trying to improve this team."

The fire sale of the Chivas took place this week on account of previous owner tryant91101 taking time to study for his PhD. in Rocket Scientry. "I hold no ill will towards tyrant or any players that decided to go with him," the new owner stated. "We want this organization to be like a family and respect decisions players had to make. Our team chemistry may not look good on paper, but in the locker room these guys are committed to the Chivas and ready to build for the future."

The future for the Chivas will rest more than likely on the legs of HB Mike Daylight, who became the most experienced back left after the trade of Sammy Sweetness to the Denver Outlaws of the USA BBB#3 League. The LVL 12 Daylight will look to improve his 42.9 rush ypg avg. and two rushing TDs this season. "The Mike doesn't care who writes the checks as long as they give me the ball." Daylight quipped. "What Rooster93 needs to do is open up that pocketbook and get The Mike some O linemen, The Mike will take care of the rest." Rotating time with Daylight will be newcomers Maurice-Jones Drew and Tyrell Spree.

The ground game will have to be strong in support of now full time starting QB Tristan Titan. Titan has seen plenty of action this year and looks ready to lead the team out of these tumultuos weeks. "We have just got to go play football." Titan said. "When the time comes and those dots are flying around the screen, we need to put this last couple of weeks behind us and just concentrate on what is in front of us. We truly need to take things once every other day at a time."

The defensive side of the ball sacrifices experience for enthusiasm and looks like it will be a building block for the team in the coming years. Lead by starting LVL 15 linebacker Jack Lattimer in the middle and DT Jefferson Washington upfront the Chivas defense will be solid but not spectacular early in this process. "We are real young on defense, especially in the secondary." Rooster93 admitted. "But the future of this unit looks bright and we are dedicated to make it something we are all proud of."

The defense will be tested early and often today as the Chivas take on the Rio de Janeiro Carnales sometime between 3:30 to 5. The Carnales are 5-3 on the season and just ahead of the Chivas at 4-4 in the playoff-race. Coming in to Outlaws Stadium riding a two game winning streak, including a 41-0 destruction of Curitiba last week, Rio de Janeiro, owner Apallyon looks to continue the teams winning ways. "New owner, new players...same result. We are going to destroy the Chivas!" While technically not going to be attending the game because he is currently being housed at the Rio de Janeiro St. Tiffany's Hospital for the Insane, Apallyon may get to see his team play via monitor.
