First half of the season is done with and we are nearing toward the playoffs. I just wanted to see who you think should earn the MVP awards. Just throw some names out there, with their positions, and even though it's nearly impossible, let's try not to get biased. I'll try to come up with my list after tonights game.

QB: Revolution

RB: McAnderson

WR: Lightning Kong

OL: Larry Lunkhead/Lazy Drunk

DL: Monster Kill

LB: Mav Max, has 7 FFum... crazy

DB: Favor Flav

I'll be a homer and vote for an Orlando player. QB Ryan Mallet - Orlando

If I went with my own team I would agree with McAnderson as my vote, but I'll play fair and cast my vote for Ron Paul Revolution.

He has some absolutely incredible stats 9 games into the season:
2,264.5 passing yards
20 TDs
only 2 picks thrown and he has only taken 4 sacks...

What does the coaching staff feed your O-line for breakfast?! I know wheaties doesn't get results like that.

I'll stack Mallet up against Ron Paul Revolution, who is an incredible QB in his own right.

Yards:

Revolution - 2264
Mallet - 1964

Comp / Att:

Revolution - 250/369
Mallet 201/283

QB Rating:

Revolution - 99.1
Mallet - 108.1

Completion %:

Revolution - 67.8
Mallet - 71

TD:

Revolution - 20
Mallet - 19

The numbers are all quite comparable, but Revolution has put the ball up 86 more times. All things equal, Mallet looks to have a slight edge.

Mallet if I wasn't going for my own team, but my favorite has to be Revolution. The passing statistics are great, and just 2 INTs, Mallet with 3.

My favorite DB has to be Flavor Flav with a total of 8 turnovers (5 INTs, 3 FFum). Monster Kill is also a killer with 8 sacks and 18 hurries. How about that SS Tani Budde lol.

With any luck our guys will square off in a showdown the last game of the season.

The only way we would square off is if we both made it to the championship game, which we plan on trying very hard to attend. Should be some great games in the playoffs, that's for sure.

DB of the year has got to be Sticky Ricky. Yes, he's on my team, but he really has been great. http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=91698

As for QB, I would have to say Ron Paul. He really is rather good. I give him the edge if only because he has faced tougher teams up to this point. If Mallet manages to destroy Grinnel and Northbrook, though, it'll be a damn near tie in my mind.

I really think that we should also do DPOYs and OPOYs like last season as well. for some reason MVP usually will be awarded to an offensive player no matter which way you slice it.

yeah ive had a long day. i dont mean to make anything complicated... sorry about that =D

I cannot vote yet, but I am leaning Ron Paul because the Steroid lovers have played their toughest competition and the Prime Timers have not. I am torn between Mallet and Revolution obviously. If Mallet is still THIS close to Ron Paul after facing Grinnell, Northbrook, Danish, Perth, AND Samoa then he gets my nod.

Nah vexxet, you're not making anything complicated. This is how I wanted to do it. I wanted to see who was the best at each position. It would be great if we could get more voters to do so like that.
