Ok, Here are my preseason Predictions: I will start by saying that I didn't put a huge amount of time in this as they mean nothing at this point. Teams haven't all boosted, new FA's will sign, game planning wasn't looked at etc... That said, GO FIREBIRDS

Looking to win it all after falling short last year. Top team remaining from last season where they lost in the second round.

Great season last year, think they will continue and grab the number 2 seed.

3.Chicago Commando's http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=1457
Played very well in same division last year. Lost to Firebirds in playoffs.

Should have done better last year, I think they take the last home field playoff spot.

May be in position to grab a home playoff game though.

Subject to change, they are right in the middle of a pack of competitive teams. I don't know much about them yet.

Could move up quickly with a good gameplan.

Should take the last playoff spot.

Played solid last year, could show even more improvement over last year!

Predicting a second straight year just barely missing the playoffs.

New name, can they start off hot though?

Team should do better, but lots of competition will hold them back.

A lot of CPU players

Great owner, but team is rebuilding from level 1. May win against Hilo and Chicago Architects depending on when they play.

Players all CPU

Team went CPU.

all are Subject to change (especially 6-10 as they were tough) due to boosting, New FA, and on the account that billsman2 is just dumb

Also I would like to an "AP Power Poll" type thing this year. Each week every team owner/GM (one per team) would submit their rankings from 1-16 and I would compile them and post it before each game. I will only do that if I have a large enough group of people committed to sending in their rankings. What each teams puts as their ranking will be confidential as only the tallied poll will be posted so you do not have to deal with the flaming. Would this be something I could count on anyone to PM me? If so please put team/position you would be sending info in for, if I get enough I will set up the format and the first official ranking will be on day 0 hopefully, so we can see what happens in preseason.

I think that it actually quite accurate. I still stand by my statement that game planning will mean more than ever this season.

Here's an idea of how to get a power poll going with some simple numbers. I don't think yards gained or yards allowed should be used. In the whole scheme of things all that matters in the "W" or "L" and the points you put on the score board. Your yards gained can easily manipulate your Power Rank number if you're constantly driving 70 yards to only turn it over inside the Red Zone.

I give you the Nokes Power Poll formula...

Wins = A
Losses = B
Points Scored Per Game = C
Points Allowed Per Game = D
Last 4 Game Wins = E
Last 4 Game Losses = F
Current Streak = G
Total Games Played = H

Step 1: (A+C+E) - (B+D+F) = Value 1
Step 2: Value 1 + (G) = Value 2
Step 3: Value 2 / H = Power Rank Value

EXAMPLE

After 7 games Team Alpha is 4-3. They've scored an average of 21 points and have allowed an average of 17 points. They're 2-2 in their last 4 games and are on a 1 game losing streak.

A = 4 Wins
B = 3 Losses
C = 21 Points Scored Average
D = 17 Points Allowed Average
E = 2 Last 4 Games Wins
F = 2 Last 4 Games Losses
G = -1 Streak
H = 7 Total Games

Step 1: (4+21+2) - (3+17+2) = 5
Step 2: 5 + (-1) = 4
Step 3: 4 / 7 = 0.571

Power Rank Number = 0.571

This might look difficult, but it's not and takes very little time of looking through the numbers to figure out what to use. And yes there is a shortcut if you're wondering. I just wrote it all out so people can see how the whole process works.
