1. Lake Opeta Legionnaires- I don't buy into the junk of who was the past champ. This is what I beleive will be the final 16 in order, and after the last 2 seasons of LOL coming up short I believe this will be there year. When the chips are down this is one team I would not bet against.
2. The Last Gunfighters of Texas- The team I really enjoy watching play. I would love to take these guys at one, but I have learned a long time ago when making predictions go with your head not your heart.
3. Sierra Leone Stallions- These guys don't talk much trash, they just come and smack you in the face. With the addition of some new great talent, this is a very scary team.
4. Somalia Pirates- Another team that seems to fly under the radar. I love their 3 headed attack on the ground and look for them to make noise again in the APL.
5. Ghana Buffalos- Very few teams can stop this teams rushing attack. They maybe too 1 dimensional, for the elite teams but they should have no problems with the other 11.
6. Doinitin Djibouti- One of the few teams to come right to APL, and were able to walk their talk. I also have concerns about equip upgrades, but evem without any lvl 40 gear this team has to much talent not to make the playoffs.
7. Congo Cripplers- This team started off with some problems last year (0-3) then turned it on. I am assuming AI problems that are now fixed. A very dangerous team, when AI is correct.
8. Angola Blood Diamonds- Probably a bias pick here. But this will be the first time in 3 seasons the ABD will go from start to finish of a season with the same OC and DC at the helm. Last season having 2 agents who owned 8 players go inactive hurt them, and mid season moves killed the chemistry. They bring in a new QB for the first time. Should be interesting.
9. Botswana Brownie Eaters- I don't know much about this team other then they went 16-0 in AAA. IMO the teams coming up from AAA are not as strong as the past AAA teams. I think they might be in for a rude awakaning.
10. Cairo Emperors- I have to much respect and faith in Cairo to have them any lower. They have always had a team you had to make sure you game planned for, and this team could end up any where from 6-10.
11. UN Peacekeepers- Very good first year in APL. Another team that you better expect a dog fight from.
12. Richmond Raiders- Look really good on paper, and I will admit I could be way off on this one. I see they made some moves in the offseason, so lets see what this brings in APL.
13. Babylon Bombshells- This was my hardest choice. If Byang has the fire, I could see Babylon up in the top 8. It just seems to me lately Byang has taken the approach that this is a game he would rather enjoy with friends from his team then all the other headaches. (Recruiting, friendlies, etc.) An approach I respect.
14.Cleveland Bombers- I think they would sell out, but I think they are just out of their league this season.
15. Mogadishu Malice- I have learned from the past, that there are usually 2 or 3 teams that sell mid season. I am going out on a limb and believe that this will be one of the first teams to go computer. Please prove me wrong.
16. Cairo Mummy Warriors-I have learned from the past, that there are usually 2 or 3 teams that sell mid season. I am going out on a limb and believe that this will be one of the first teams to go computer. Please prove me wrong.
If nobody quits during the season, this will be the best season to date.
