Is there a guide somewhere as to what VA's work best for all the different positions? I'm sure this has been asked but I don't have time to search every page and the last time I checked the search function doesnt work.

yes use base stat modifiers and max out at least two of those then choose a percentage one

A lot of it depends on your position and how your OC/DC/GM uses you. There is no cookie cutter solution.
