I'm curious how all the teams are doing in terms of recruiting.

My hypothesis would be: all the good teams continue to improve by getting more talent, bottom teams have a hard time getting anyone

Someone please disprove this

We just moved up and almost have a brand new line. We had a level 24 starter on our line back in BBB:

We also got some new guys in the secondary and a new receiver. You can decide whether it's a success or not but I'm happy with what we've done so far

Damo you guys can pitch that you are an undefeated team (you were last season). That helps a lot in recruiting.

When the Yaksmen were in A3 previously we had a horrible time recruiting. We spent tons of time on recruiting alone. Then when we got demoted and now back here we have a much better team.

You are correct imo weitz. The rich get richer. People want to be on winning team and don't want to help make a team great. It is frustrating..believe me.

That has been my experience in recruiting at least.

As tough as recruiting is I kind of enjoy. We have been really fortunate recruiting, I guess it doesn't hurt when your GM has good connections though.

The Moncton Machine had a great recruiting season and are ready to make some noise. Retooled our OLine and added a solid WR and CB.

Finding back-up players has been "very" and I mean "very" hard... I also agree with steelerfan11's comment above. We also still made some solid improvements in our team. Mainly through building relationships with owners, I would say we have one semi hole but we have improved our DLine and the Offensive line overall as well.

i send out countless 280,000 contracts with 100,000+ bonuses to players in low to mid 30's. 95+ percent reject the offer.

It's crazy, because different agents are looking for different things. Some want only to start. Others, want a championship team. Still others want max cash. Some want a good forum. Or a combination of all of the above.

And still some others want #1 CB, solo KR, and have 20 stamina to do it with, and are under the impression that their player is God's gift to GLB and worth max salary and bonus. BTW, they want to be defensive coordinator too, and don't have a player over level 25. *sigh* Thankfully, I don't have to deal with this type of agent anymore, but their ads always make me chuckle.

Way I figure it, those that actually do sign are the agents you really want on your team in the first place. Am I sour grapes and just rationalizing failure? Maybe, but the last thing you want is a selfish malcontent running loose in your forum! I'm sure many who don't sign truly are losses, but I'd rather miss out on a couple of good players than to land a problem child.

Good agents = good team. If not now, then they will be the foundation to build on into the future.

I'm at least 50/1 rejected per offer its great..... but I got my last player today, so I filled 100% of my off season goals, just complete luck...

I'm in total agreeeance dude!
recruiting is a proper bitch, and it shouldn't be.
Agents just think too much of themselves or their players sometimes.
I have full-on respect for the agents that sign for minimum cash and bonuses, and the chances are they're the ones who get rewarded in the long run.

Same here. We went 18-1 last season and I am getting beat out by BBB teams.
