So most people say that levels are the most important thing. Then a good build is next. Then game planning.

Is that what you 1st season BBB promoted found last year? I am hoping that game plan has a lot to do with it because we are not going to do a total overhaul on our roster but I hope to keep up the strong game planning.

I prefer good builds and good game planning but sometimes the level difference is to much. One hint is to make sure your OTs are solid. We got killed by a few level 45 DEs last season. Hopefully our OTs will be better this season.

Good luck BMW.

I'm hoping that Bort actually uses the suggested level ranges to keep the league talent in check.

I also go for great builds.....on high levels!

imo

Build > Gameplan > Level

A great build will dominate against any game plan, although a good game plan can overcome a small (2-7) level difference.

I don't know you yet merenoise but I have seen little snippets of things you have posted. I feel like you are a pretty sharp guy and I am looking forward to reading more of your posts. I am sure that I could learn a lot.

I'm hoping to take your word for it. I think that we have pretty decent builds on our team. They are not all GREAT but they aren't too bad and we are really enjoying game planning which seems to be the thing that saves us the most so I am glad that is counts for something in your opinions!!!

Bort should have put a cap on us! It is silly to say we are uncapped and then "suggest" a level playing field. The playing field was not level when we were promoted here. In an uncapped league it comes down to recruiting, builds, levels, and game planning. (not in that order) just saying they all play a part.

Yeah, once you get into an uncapped league, I'd say all bets are off. It is kinda shitty that a team will bring in a bunch of 45+ guys to a lower level league, those players should be in pro IMO, but with the Trophy whores clammering to get on any championship team at any cost I don't see any way around the high leveled teams moving in to low leveled leagues. Part of the game I suppose... What are you gonna do? Either get busy recruiting higher leveled guys or get busy being mediocre...

Another thing we should point out is team chemistry.. "IMPORTANT" I am in a bad spot because I had to replace 20+ players and that has killed our chemistry. This season it will really hurt us but next season we should be all good to go..

I'm glad you aren't in Alpha with that roster. It's shaping up nicely.

AZ - are you concerned at all with the effects of having players out of the suggested range?

I think the suggested range will be raised once everyone is finished with their rosters. Its so hard to tell what everyone else is gonna do and we want to remain competitive in an uncapped league. I think right now the suggested high is Level 38. So were not to far off that. And when it gets averaged between all the teams in the conference we should be fine. I really do believe the league should have been capped but since its not really capped just suggested we are always gonna do our best to improve and try and win. Just like anything were here to have fun and to win. Weather or not we can win is something only to be seen in time with our bad chemistry and all. But I wanted to get rid of a certain player on my team and he happend to have had 20 players on my team. Would I ever have another player manager with so many players on my team NO WAY.. So now with 20 players or so leaving I had to ask myself do I want to replace with same levels or try and improve our roster. If I had not been in this situation I would have improved my roster much slower. I should add that I know teams in this conference that even with lower level players a team owner should be afraid of playing them because they game plan very well. Unless your a CPU team you are a threat in my mind. And you watch I bet we lose to some of those teams and its ok if that happens, all is good. I know for me I didnt want to go into this season and find out our rival had brought in higher level players and we were gonna lose to them. I have but one rival here and its always my goal to kick the crap out of them. After that its just fun times win or lose...AZ
