Well the regular season is halfway over and I thought it would be interesting to take a look at the strength of schedule by team and kind of rank them and see where everybody stands. The way I calculated most of this stuff is off of the current standings at mid-season and its somewhat personal speculation so feel free to disagree. We are to the point now where every game is crucial for playoff positioning and the teams that have played the top teams already are in good position to make up some ground.

1. Grand Haven: They played 4 of the top 5 in Waco, Great Plains, Oakland and Bel Air. Their opponents had a combined 38-26 record and an average ranking of 6.75. They played 5 of the top 8 so far.

2. Portland: They played 4 of the top 5 in Great Plains, Oakland, Las Vegas and Bel Air. Their opponents had a combined 36-27-1 record and an average ranking of 7.5. They played 4 of the top 8 so far.

3. Waco: They played 4 of the top 5 in Great Plains, Oakland, Las Vegas and Bel Air. Their opponents had a combined 33-31 record an average ranking of 8.38. They played 4 of the top 8 so far.

4. Hartford: They played 3 of the top 5 in Waco, Great Plains and Oakland. Their opponents had a combined 34-29-1 record and an average ranking of 7.75. They played 5 of the top 8 so far.

5. RGB: They played 2 of the top 5 in Las Vegas and Bel Air. Their opponents had a combined 34-28-2 record and an average ranking of 8.13. They played 5 of the top 8 so far.

6. Spicewood: They played 3 of the top 5 in Oakland, Las Vegas and Bel Air. Their opponents had a combined 32-31-1 record and an average ranking of 8.38. They played 4 of the top 8 so far.

7. Scottsdale: They played 2 of the top 5 in Las Vegas and Bel Air. Their opponents had a combined 31-32-1 record and an average ranking of 8.5. They played 5 of the top 8 so far.

8. Ambridge: They played 2 of the top 5 in Bel Air and Waco. Their opponents had a combined 31-31-2 record and an average ranking of 8.25. They played 4 of the top 8 so far.

9. Oakland: They played 2 of the top 5 in Waco and Great Plains. Their opponents had a combined 31-32-1 record and an average ranking of 8.63. They played 4 of the top 8 so far.

10. Dallas: They played 3 of the top 5 in Oakland, Las Vegas and Bel Air. Their opponents had a combined 31-32-1 record and an average ranking of 8.63. They played 3 of the top 8 so far.

11. Chicago: They played 3 of the top 5 in Great Plains, Oakland and Las Vegas. Their opponents had a combined 32-32 record and an average ranking of 8.75. They played 4 of the top 8 so far.

12. Bel Air: They played 1 of the top 5 in Waco. Their opponents had a combined 30-32-2 record and an average ranking of 8.75. They played 4 of the top 8 so far.

13. Miami: They played 2 of the top 5 in Waco and Great Plains. Their opponents had a combined 28-35-1 record and an average ranking of 9. They played 4 of the top 8 so far.

14. Great Plains: They played 2 of the top 5 in Waco and Oakland. Their opponents had a combined 29-35 record and an average ranking of 9.25. They played 3 of the top 8.

15. New Brunswick: They played 2 of the top 5 in Bel Air and Great Plains. Their opponents had a combined 28-35-1 record and an average ranking of 9.75. They played 3 of the top 8.

16. Las Vegas: They played 1 of the top 5 in Waco. Their opponents had a combined 26-36-2 record and an average ranking of 9.63. They played 3 of the top 8.

*The average ranking came from taking the rank of all of their opponents thus far and dividing by 8.

*The top 5 are Waco, Oakland, Las Vegas, Great Plains and Bel Air.

*The top 8 are Waco, Oakland, Las Vegas, Great Plains, Bel Air, Dallas, Spicewood and New Brunswick.
