And now for a thread about something people here care about...

Should be an Epic Final -- I'll be tuning the battle of the Helsinki dots vs the WYW dots as soon as it comes out of sim

Damn, damn, damn!
Great game WYW!! You deserved it.
We made a valiant comeback, just to watch it get crushed by that long run. I really did not think your HB's could run over us like that. I guess I should have had everyone wrap up, but I knew we would need a break to win it.

Congrats on the win.

Great game WYW. We flat out did not score enough points. You picked up close to 1/2 your yards on 2 plays. Such a killer.

Now, I am going to rant. Let me say I don't blame WYW for using the Power Back Exploit. It works and there is no reason to not go with what works. "You gotta dance with the girl the Brung ya". I am going to rant anyway.

*** RANT ON ***

Call it QQ, call it sour grapes, I frankly don't care.

32 Broken tackles when our entire front 7 has 50+ Tackling and set on wrap up. I feel bad for my DC. He called the PERFECT defense. Players were in PERFECT position to make the plays. And it did not matter one single bit.

My 2DT's/3 LB's have an average of 75 Strength and 55 tackling...... Result 21 Missed tackles.

I have been putting up with this all season and it just drives me INSANE. It's just total and complete BS, but there is nothign to be done about it.

*** RANT OFF***

Heh, sorry for the QQ Rant. I am just beside myself pissed off. Despite all that if we just could of made a play or 2 on offense we would of been fine =(

Oh well, I'll see some of you in AAA next year. For the teams staying here, good luck and I'll see ya up in AAA in season 9!

I agree with the above statement. Power backs are so far ahead of elusive right now, that there is no comparison

You can only hope Bort wakes the hell up this offseason and makes it better. Im all for LBs needing high tackling, but this post is a good example of the probs here. 32 Brkn tackles shouldnt be happening in a title game, I dont care who you are

Probably the wrong place for my rant.

In no way did I mean to diminish WYW's win. They flat out beat us.

It's just some season long frustration coming out is all. Some of you guys have already heard me rant in PM's about your power backs. This game was just too much.

I've been posting complaints about power backs too and we were helped by it more than anybody. Great win WYW. We knew we got a bad break when we saw you in our out of conference.

I spent a fortune on equipment for my LBs and SS to get their tackling into the mid-60's (literally millions -- look at my team's bank balance) even with 3 or 4 LBs and the SS blitzing out of Cover 1 stacked right into the teeth of the Strong I and from every other angle and we couldn't stop the power backs either.

There's just no way right now you can build an LB with enough strength, tackling and agility to stop a power back inside rush and still have the other skills necessary to do all the other jobs an LB needs to do. They either need to give all LBs extra SP to improve their necessary variety of skills or they need to lower the demands on them to bring the sim back into some sort of equalibrium.

Just like Scogz, I don't want to take away from the success of the teams that did well this season -- I've seen many of them patiently build their teams to this point along side us and they definitely deserve it.

Those of us who fell on the wrong side of the sudden and extreme change in direction of the sim don't really trust the product anymore and kind of resent having a lot of seasons of team and player building suddenly going to waste. As an owner I'm just not interested in dumping guys who built good players (as far as anyone could reasonably anticipate) for my team and showed total loyalty to it.

I guess that's why I'm turning out the lights and building a new team. We can keep the same group of agents together and this time we can do it on the cheap with no boosting too, so it'll hurt a lot less when we become obsolete next time.

WYW has been running those PBs for quite some time. Three seasons for the pair, Burgundy has been on the team since day one.

They just flat our ran over us.

We even had the LBs shifted to the weak side on this play, which pretty much broke our backs in the playoff game.

Thanks for the kind words everybody. We really enjoyed the league this year, hopefully a few other teams are coming up to AAA with us.

Also, I would like nothing more than for Bort to address the powerback problem in this game. When we first designed the team we wanted to be a balanced offense, and even this season we started passing the ball more, but the powerbacks were just too overwhelming to not use them more.

Like I told you even before the game I knew what was going to happen and it was going to piss me off =)

Absolutely no hard feelings at all as you already know! We still almost got ya!

First, again it was a great game. I give you guys complete props.

I'm the DC for the Hammer's and I spent several hours watching your film tracking every single play you made. I can honestly say you guys are a BITCH to scout! Although, you guys ran two power backs, I knew that was coming, but you use a wide variety of plays which makes it VERY difficult to load up when you have to bring at least three guys to hope to stop them.

They make the rest of your team better. Keep it up as long as you can. Congrats on the win.

Oh, BTW, Bart's build is open.
