So considering the age of my higher level players, I'm considering bringing in another one to eventually replace them. I have a slowbuilding LB going so far and I was wondering about FBs and TEs. I've never built an offensive player before, and was interested in knowing which kinds of FBs and TEs that people want on their teams. Do they want blockers (TE or FB), runners (FBs), pass catchers (TE or FB) or jacks of all trades?

Blockers are the overwhelming demand for FB. A rushing FB really isn't worth while as a starter, and more people make them as a cheaper HB, as opposed to pure blocking FBs.

Blockers are at high demand for both of those positions.

Yep, having a blocking TE or FB is a great asset to have. Only problem is, it's not a very glamorous position so that's why there are so few of them.

Thanks for the advice guys. So balanced builds are basically out then? I may make a blocking TE due to the huge number of pass-catching TEs (which sadly drives down that option) but admittedly it'd be slightly more fun to get a couple passes every now and again.

Either that or a total WR style TE. There is a beast TE on one of my teams who has 90+ speed. Thousands of yards.

Those are a dime a dozen. I know, I build them.

Nobody really wants balance out of these two positions anymore. Teams want one playmaker and one blocker. If you are willing to have a boring player, the blockers are in high demand and you will never have problems finding a team.

This is true. My TE was more balanced than he is now but once the TE1/TE2 options came out I started leaning heavily towards receiving.
