Hi, I'm the deadbeat owner of the relatively unimpressive Canadian A2 league team, the Sackville Waterfowl - http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=3468
I've not got the drive to run a team that I once thought I had, though stuck it out for three seasons anyway. During this time we've got a bunch of guys still a fair bit below what is needed to be a top rate side, and we're not crap enough to be relegated. So what is so appealing about this?
* $9mill in the kitty as we speak.
* Stadium will have all sections completed during the coming preseason - currently only one 300 level section is missing and the money is invested for that to be built (ie. its not coming out of the $9mill above)
So where do you fit in?
OK, I'm not going to give/sell you the team straight up, because I can't. I also don't want to see the team get CPUed and taken over by some utter butthole. BUT, if you're willing to take over the GM responsibility and take on planning, recruiting, doing crazy amounts of marketplace reading etc to have a crack at the Canada A2 championship, I'm willing to pay up the 400 flex to extend another season.
During that season, (which you would start as a GM after moving your player over) I would be 100% happy to send out a note to GLB staff to shift ownership to you. They'll currently only do that if ownership is shifting to a current GM, you see, so this is planning ahead.
So, this is what I am looking for from you.
* Enthusiasm
* At least one player of league-standard that you'll bring across
* Ideally some smart buddies to slot into OC/DC roles
* Enthusiasm
* A commitment to take this gift of a very financial team and turn it into a real, competitive team.
Honestly I don't even care if you ditch my players from the team when you officially take over. Go for it!
