Yeah, I went there. It's been way too quiet and politically correct in here for the last week or so. So I'm wondering who else is going to man up, win a few playoff games and move up to AA with us????????

Well it won't be us since we are getting ready to ship some players back to USA.

You shipping them now or after the season? From the best I can figure, there's a chance that 3 teams from the East get promoted.

They will be shipped in the offseason and we will be bringing in some more of our younger players to get them ready.

We acheived our goal with this team this season and that was to fill out the second ring of our stadium. We have held off on equipment upgrades the whole season and have just now equipped them.Wanted to be sure we had the money in place to do the upgrade to the stadium.

I hear you, farm system in a sense. Good plan. Well, good luck in the playoffs. You or the Harpoons gonna come out on top?

Edit- grammar

We're still behind on the stadium. Getting promoted early our first season killed our fan support last season (well, that and the fact that we sucked). We're just now recovering.

Strange that farm systems used to be such a big deal and so many agents were crying foul over farms, but now it's an accepted way of building. Interesting, the way GLB has evolved. Btw, just in case some one misreads this, there is no judgement on my part, just an observation.

I'm rather ambivalent to the whole farm thing, and think the real competition doesn't quite begin up until AAA or Pros, everything in between is just getting your team/player ready. Winning a BBB or A trophy seems easy enough, but winning a pro title (except maybe APL), takes a bit more effort, and the entire pro experience as player or GM is more fun, so I highly recommend it to one and all!

I agree and I have never had a problem with people having farm teams. To me without them you lose control over your players and some owners do not want agents who are only building their players for future use elsewhere. We have several agents who are doing the same on our team and yet are not affiliated with what I would consider our mother team.I try to make it competetive but have never claimed we were here to win it all.

There are some very good teams here that I knew before the season started we would not be able to compete with. That is fine by me and I wish all the owners here who are building for the future of their teams the best of luck.I will keep it as competetive as possible yet I never really anticipate contending for the title unless some type of fluke happens.

I'm still relatively new to GLB, 3rd season. But with as much of a pain in the ass that recruiting is getting to be, I can absolutely see why people would create a farm team. Makes sense to me

The Sentinels might not even be around next season at all. Team is expiring, and our owner is still incommunicado in the army. So, it's been cool everyone. Maybe I'll see you all somewhere down the road.

As a GM, you could probably have Support convert the team to you if it forseth's ownership is expiring.

That confident about tomorrow night? Really, after a 20 point loss? After you didn't beat anyone who beat us?

I see the league sending up a total of 4 teams. Which 4, who knows. I know that we're currently planning like we'll get moved up regardless of how the playoffs go.

hard to get moved up with a first round loss in the playoffs.
