Well i had been thinking about how we may fair this up coming play offs. What are your picks, and how do you think your team will do, what are your reasons for who wins and who loses?

Also Team MVP's for the season, who do you think is the over all AA#3 Africa's MVP and why (other then you think your player is the bomb or want to talk shit) ... ?

I'm not to pleased about the tie breaking formula, but good game to the Desert Hawks. Looks like we'll be the 10-6 team that won't be getting into the playoffs this season.

Yeah man, good game. Honestly, I don't understand the tiebreaking system at all now. With how things played out, I thought the Park Rangers should have got left out...but I was wrong it seems.

Durban was 2-1
Madagascar was 2-1
Monrovia was 1-2
Quicama was 1-2

Durban beat Madagascar
Monrovia beat Quicama

I thought that would settle it.

Then I looked at points scored.

Quicama = 681
Durban = 652
Madagascar = 644
Monrovia = 643

What I think happened is this:

It looked at head-to-head matchups first. Durban and Madagascar grab 6 and 7th spots...but Durban gets 6th because they scored more points (not because they beat Madagascar?).

Then Monrovia and Quicama were up for 8th and 9th...and Quicama scored the most points (ignoring the head to head matchup in which Monrovia won).

To me, that is flawed. In almost all tiebreaking schemes, the tiebreaking structure starts over each time a tie is broken. So once it was decided that Durban and Madagascar were 2-1 against the other 4, that breaks a tie and it should start over with head to head against those two. Same for Quicama and Monrovia...both 1-2, then start over and go to head to head instead of points scored.

That is exactly how the NFL does it. I have no idea how the tiebreaking scheme didn't have Monrovia as 8th seed.
Doesn't make any sense to me...

If anyone finds out would be interested to know.
