Using the argument that the BCS used for having Oklahoma in the title game rather than Texas. We beat ECA who beat you who beat us. For some reason the RPI loves my team. Even after our two losses they give us love.

Because Tossers and Sooners both have 7 letters. And so does the word Awesome.

Looks like we're overachievers for once. Final ended up being 96-3.

Cruise control fucking sucks.

yeah, what a retarded fucking feature. wasn't it originally put in so players would conserve energy back when there was that stupid season-long energy bar, and i guess bort didn't want you going to 30 energy because you had to play 120 plays on defense due to scoring so much? now all it does it make blowout games unwatchable. no one wants to see their 110 speed wr lightly jog down the field so a 38 speed cb can keep up with him and deflect every pass that's thrown at him.

Blowout games were already unwatchable, so cruise control can't even get credit for that.

maybe for some or even most people, but NO ONE wants to see these players they've been building for months and months and spent a decent chunk of money on suddenly start playing like a 5 day old player

as much as he touts realism, watching your team of semi-pro or pro football players suddenly start walking down the field just because they're up 50 points is about the most unrealistic thing ever. cut their attributes by 10 or hell even 25%, but don't turn a level 41 125+ speed WR into someone slower than a level 4 25 speed CB, and vice versa.

The bigger issue for me was actually on defense, we held ECA to 337.5 yards, held Passion to 340 and then give up 279.5 to Qidan? Nearly all of it coming because they put WRs in as RBs and because of cruise control they just ran past our faster more agile players. Boo.

I believe it was put in place also to help conserve a bit of realism in this game which, if I remember correctly from the poll Bort conducted, a VAST majority of us voted in favor of.

EDIT: Admittedly I don't watch replays of blowout games, I'm referring more to the STATISTICAL realism that results from these games. I have no knowledge of what your 110 speed WR looks like on film next to a lower-leveled CB who is covering him, just as you have no knowledge of what that CB's speed is (unless his build is open).

Qidan ran 77 plays against you and 76 against us, but we only gave up 140-something yards to them. Either our defense is better or you shouldn't have gone apeshit throwing the football against them, merenoise.

Qidan put up 78 total yards against us :|

They did have a monster gain while we were on "cruise control" though :

That HB is level 19 NOW, which means he was probably 17 maybe even 16 at the time. Our guys were at least 26, with well over 80 speed in the secondary. Theyre chasing as if they have about 50ish speed, not 80. -_-

See that is part of my gripe. That isn't a HB at all it is a WR. Which means there is an OOP penalty. And at level 19 with an OOP penalty I highly doubt he is faster and more agile than my level 26 FS and level 28 SS both of which are pretty high motor. As was seen at the beginning of the game when we routinely stuffed him for losses.

Throwing wasn't the problem. Until the fourth quarter our QBs were 18 for 20. After that point and once cruise control was in effect we had some incompletions but nothing too bad. But they made these plays on offense that defy description:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=335775&pbp_id=12507464

Both of my safeties jogging down the field at half speed.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=335775&pbp_id=12510100

High vision CB runs up inside rather than following HB

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=335775&pbp_id=12509511

High vision OLB charges after the QB well after the handoff.

These things do not happen until after cruise control kicked in and that is why they racked up so many yards despite the fact that they were outleveled between 8 and 12 levels. ECA ran a couple of the same plays in our game and we shut them down for 1-2 yards and your players are far superior to the Qidan players.
