Forum > Oceania AA Leagues > Oceania AA #2 > Week 14 power ranking (Brad's Version)
Link

Alpha:

#1. Golden Coast Titanz, Definatly a good fight against Vero. Only one real challenge left before the playoffs. With a win over Amarillo they lock up the #1 seed in the playoffs. It is crazy to think that as competitive AA is, the Titanz are only 1 point away from being without a loss. Amazing.

#2. Easter Island Moai, They face Darwin and Manilla to finish up. Darwin will be a decent team, but this teams has already locked up at least a top 3 seed in the playoffs (as long as they don't bomb both games).

#3. Bay City Bohica, What a dominating performance over a very solid Amarillo team. I was very impressed. It came on a great week also with Palau losing, now the Bohica can reclaim this third hold.

#4. Palau Pimp Smackers, Two weeks and two wins over Bay City and Amarillo... Super tough loss to West Canaan, BUT first! West Canaan deserves some applause here. They played a great game. Palau had a little let down, but I do have a small worry. In three weeks they have totalled up only 43 points combined. They have not scored in the 20's in three straight weeks; That bothers me.

#5. Amarillo Super Frogs, Just when I think I know this team, they slip up. If the score had been within a 15 point loss, I can understand, but a 31 point loss is insane. I just cannot seem to pinpoint this team. Some weeks they have amazing gameplans, and some weeks they are pretty flat.

Zeta:

#1. Davy Jones' Locker Pirate Ghosts, Holy Cow! What a win! Davy dethroned the same Hueco team that has been undefeated since their loss in week 2. Amazing. Davy has beaten Hueco, SSP, Krakatoa, Fiji, Perth, A-State, Atlantis, and Amarillo all in this season... Wow! BUT the road does not stop here. Davy now has to face Sumatra and Asau... Just how long can this party keep going?

#2. Fiji Panzers, They are playing great right now. They still face Perth, but other than that, they really face no more challenges. This is the only team besides Davy to beat Hueco. Fiji is really going to be one of those teams that everybody in Zeta will be praying not to face in the playoffs.

#3. Hueco Mundo Hollows, I was shocked that they lost. I know they were facing a great team, but just seeing Hueco with a loss is so unusual, it kinda suprised me. Hueco has lost two games all season and it came to #1 and #2 in Zeta. Hueco is still a team to be greatly feared, definatly a Zeta Title contender.

#4. Asau Assassins, Oh I know they are pumped about week 16 @ Davy. Asau is just playing some amazing football. They have beaten #2 on this ranking, and lost to #3 and #5... Can they beat #1 in week 16?

#5. Sempre-Sabbath Phenix, They beat a very good Atlantis team, forget the record. SSP has been playing pretty good football as of late. They still have to face A-State, but that is all that is left for this team. SSP is looking to finish the season with a 11-5 record if they win vs A-State and Redscape, VERY nice.

Games to Watch

Alpha:

Amarillo Super Frogs @ Golden Coast Titanz.
Can Amarillo redeem themselves after that embarrising loss to Bay City? Well a win here would greatly bolster their record, and their ranking. Golden Coast has very little left to do to finish out the top seed, and this is one of those things.

Zeta:

Davy Jones' Locker Pirate Ghosts @ Sumatra Sea Hawks.
Davy just attained the top spot, but can they keep it? Sumatra really stands a chance to fall a seed if they lose here. This will be one of many telling games as to the parity in Zeta and if the lower seeds have the caliber to face off with the elite of Zeta and win.

Good stuff Brad. Alot of great matchups and with the playoffs coming up it should be pretty exciting stuff since thats when it counts the most.

Such a tough league and alot of great opponents this year that have made it pretty interesting.

Good write-up. Ya know its refreshing to have some fresh/creative thinking instead of the normal spreadsheet robot talk.
Good stuff. I think SSP may be the only team actually praying to see Fiji in the playoffs

This is going to be a great playoffs. This is the first season I have ever looked and just not been able to tell who was going to win. There is usually 1 or 2 teams that you can pencil in for the championship game. This year anything can happen. Its going to be fun to watch.

If all stays the same it looks like a potential 2nd round matchup if both of us can get past the first tough game. But there's a lot of the big guys trying to take each other down so we'll see how much the rankings get jumbled.

my prediction is we will have to see SSP first round

Yea all I know is i dont want to see Hueco in round1 which is unlikely and I have a weird feeling about playing Asau in the playoffs now that we actually beat them in the regular season. Hopefully the roles havent reversed completely

Should be good though. Good games from round1 to the conference championship.

Well, as we know from this season, NO team is unbeatable. From Alpha to Zeta, every team had better be sweating every single game. It is going to be a dog fight from the start to finish. Whoever can limp away at the end will take the gold, and boy will that be a task.

Playoffs are going to give me a damn ulcer this season. We have won a lot of games this season.
But in the playoffs all bets are off. One bad day and ugh!

You dont usually see this competitive a league at the AA level. This is a real tough league in my opinion.

The USA AA3 league is no cakewalk either. Playoffs are a pain, but last season was sweet with 2 gold trophies so were hoping for more of the same. Gonna be alot tougher this time around.

Great job Sumatra you guys played a great game there! Wow.

Surprised to see Perth probably wont even make the playoffs, wow. Talk about falling from grace a couple seasons ago they were the undefeated team to beat.
Asau looks like theres a good chance we will see each other in the 1st round. Bleh.

Great game today, we are very happy to pull out a W. I really do think that among the top 10 teams that almost anything can happen in Zeta. should make the playoffs great entertainment.
