Nominate players in this thread. Please list their position and team too. Feel free to throw in some stats and/or highlights.

Any owners want to help pick the team? I will invite you to a private forum where we can name the team, just for fun.

Hopefully someone will take charge in Alpha and then we can name an all AA4 team.

Fiji Rage nominate:

HB David Oku
WR Chris Ball

KR/PR JJ Scott
K Garret Rivas

SS JAmes Highsmith
FS Ryan Bradstreet
LB Bo Steele

Some probably arent as worth as others stat wise, but they've been consistent players on our team.

I will nominate some guys from the Pirate Offense, Barn will be along to do the D.

Sorry if its kinda long but I would like to mention the following guys out of appreciation, there are a lot of great players in this division and even though it may seem a little brash to mention so many guys, I think it adds to the value of the forums to point out guys playing vital roles.

Perth HB JT Sanders
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=404022
JT is in his 3rd year as a Pirate, currently leading AA4 in rushing yardage (2500), rushing touchdowns(50) and rushing ypg (180). 2nd only to Dalton Hill of Devonport in ypc at 6.8 a carry, JT has only been held under 100 yards only once this year and has rushed for 300 yards twice against Port Moseby and Devonport.

Perth HB Omega Man
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=276384
The lightning to JT's thunder, Omega is 9th in rushing yardage, 8th in rushing touchdowns and is worth a mention for his amazing 100 reception season currently ranking him 4th among ALL pass catchers in Zeta. While I don't expect him to be recognized as a ProBowler with all the worthy backs in the division, Omega is no doubt an elite back at this level and has been the difference this year for a Perth offense that needed a spark to get to the next level.

Perth Center Sir Snaps a lot
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=474266
Snaps has been in AA4 since season 3, leading the league with 95 plays a game and tied for the league lead in pancakes with 91.

Perth Kicker George Bush
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=37222
George is having another career season for the Pirates. Currently 2nd in Zeta in points scored, tied for 1st in Zeta with 36 field goals made and is 96/97 at extra points converted.

Perth WR Slickas Catchit
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=349385
Currently 3rd in Zeta with 1214 receiving yards, 3rd in ypg at 87 and averages 16 yards per catch, slickas is a gamebreaker and an elite WR who must be accounted for in defensive schemes.

Perth TE Ryan Davidson
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=337981
Ryan is equally adept at blocking and pass catching, currently first among all TE's in Zeta with 500 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns, Davidson is a player who wants the ball on every snap but has been a good enough teammate to accept a hybrid role as GLB continues to iron out its role for TE's.

Perth Tackle Tank McWilliams
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=303694
Tank has been coming off the bench most of the season but ranks in the top 10 in pancakes, recently promoted to the starting lineup for his hard work, Tank solidifies a line that has only allowed 15 sacks on the season.

I would like to nominate from the Samoa Savages:

LB Brett Erickson

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=563004
Brett has been the anchor of our defense. 124 Tackles for a team that did not win it's way into AA is very impressive as an under leveled LB.

CB "Glue Hand" Jackson
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=103797
GHJ has 61 tackles, 44 PD, 11 INT's and 4 returned for TD! Currently a level 36, continually out matched he kept the Savages in many a game. This play helped us to keep our winning ways going. http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=312016&pbp_id=5991206

HB Roman Simms
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=651864
Came into the league as a level 29 but has still managed to put up over 1000 yards rushing with 7 TDs and over 600 yards receiving for 8 TDs. He will be largely overlooked, but I feel he is our team MVP.

I nominate The Decatur Staley's as a team, and there are no individuals here, we are a team. So, you can leave us out, or let us be the coach, or something. I don't like doing this, this way, for it shows favoritism, and though the player's with great stats would be the likely choices, there are player's on our team that have done alot for others on our team to get stats, they play a part and that is all that I ask.

So, we would like to nominate people from other teams, and that would show no bias, and on top of that, you will see what player's are truly shown the respect from the league and the owner's.

I will submit a roster of the player's that I would like to nominate from the other teams in the league. -naka

Feel free to do it this way too.

I agree with what you said, but I chose players who I think have the numbers to possibly get voted on. We may have more valuable players on our team than the ones I listed who are just not known enough to make a team.

I'm finding it really difficult to pick just a few guys from our D. We play well as a unit, because everyone does the jobs they're asked to do. We have the second best passing ypg allowed (after Apia) and the second best rushing ypg allowed (after Sydney), but our guys don't light up the boards when you look at individual leaders. I'll pick a few of our biggest playmakers:

CB Poppa Loston
CB C. Woodson

A huge key to our success this season are our outstanding starting CBs. They've done a great job of keeping opposing passing attacks from putting up big numbers on us. They just seem to be in position on every single pass (as long as I don't f#%k up the AI).

MLB Robert Gentzke
SS Count Chocula

If you watch our replays, one or both of these guys is around pretty much every play. They may not have the gaudiest stat lines, but they're occupying blockers, stuffing holes, getting key hurries and sacks, covering receivers, deflecting passes, disrupting plays, and running down ballcarriers all over the field.

I also want to give some recognition to a couple of our unsung heroes -- the guys who don't show up on leaderboards, but are absolutely crucial to the D:

NT Maximus Stroud - our rock on the inside
LDE Nevin Blevins - simply a beast, as anyone who's tried to run left on us will attest; he also collapses the pocket like few other DEs and should probably have about 20-30 hurries that he got no credit for

I don't want the list to get too long, but I really feel that every single guy on our defense adds a critical piece to the puzzle. My thanks to all of them.

I was actually going to mention Nevin Blevins in the other players you enjoy watching thread. That guy is a stud.

Yeah, and don't take this as anything but it is the way I like to do things, since people with an ego could get it crushed with my picks, though we really don't have any ego's on our team.
