Warrior General Games

The Post-Season looms and its down to just two regular season games for post-season position and to determine who survives and who dies. 9 teams remain eligable for eight post-season slots, 10 if you were to consider it a possibility that Helsinki could lose to Lyon week 16 (I don't) and the top spot is "technically" still up for grabs.


Best in Breed

1. Roman Legion(13-1)
Outlasted the ever improving Asylum in a nail bitter rallying from being down 10 to claiming a four point victory. The Legions vaunted running game was its usual self but it was the play of QB Tyrone Dejardin who led two TD drives in the final four minutes to pull out the victory and preserve the Legions inside track at the #1 seed.
Remaining Games: Bersekers, BOZ

2. Tillburg Lightning(12-2)
Rebounded from their loss to Bergen Ops to shalack my overmatched Wolves. The Lightning struck on big plays early and often as they routed the underdoge Wolves by a large margin. The Lightning can now coast until the post-season and only consecutive losses by the Legion will give them back the #1 seed.
Remaining Games:Lyon, Baltimore

3. Bergen Op Zoom Sneaky Buffalo(11-3)
Blasted the Crabs hanging 55 on them as they prepare to face a daunting Hollywood team. Tough sleeding for the BOZ the rest of the way as they take on the pass happy Knights followed by fellow bruisers the Legion. The BOZ could still technically advance to the the #2 seed if they can win out and have the Legion lose this week to Iceland.
Opponents Remaining: Hollywood, Roman

4. Iceland Berserkers(11-3)
Upset city for the Berserkers as their offense was stuck in low gear and their defense surrendered the go ahead game winning 4th QTR touchdown to the Knights. The Berserkers are still well positioned for the post-season but to what end they play two difficult upcoming games and will need more offensive production if they plan to be in the post-season for more than a game.

Locks for the post-season

5. Flying Monkeeh Armada(9-5)
Eight in a row and still cruising. The Flying Monkeehs have road their second half to schedule back up the rankings and now firmly into the playoff picture. Their gimme game against gutted Dublin now puts them at 10 wins and beyond elimination for the post-season so congrats to the Armada who started the season off in a world of hurt but have returned to clinch a post-season berth. They are destined to be the 5th or 6th seed though as the Asylum are the only team capable of moving up to 4th by virtues of tie-breaks.
Remaining Games: Dublin, Popes

6. Arkham Asylum(9-5)
They are now locked in the post-season as well given their upcoming game against the Cowboys. If the Legion beat Iceland this week then their regular season finale becomes a winner take homefield with Iceland. Im all of a sudden rooting for the Legion this week as I love big games, its certainly something for the Asylum to look forward to.

Now's where it gets tricky for the post-season

7. Hollywood Knights(9-5)
Hollywood's defeat of Bergen Ops Zoom not only opened up the door for the Asylum to stake a claim to homefield but also left the Knights with the easiest path to the post-season, it's simple for them this week and next (win and their in). Two games left and all they need is one. Only consecutive losses endanger their chance at playoff glory.
Remaining Games: BOZ, Wolves


8. Helsinki Crabs(8-6)
In a free fall after 4 consecutive losses and despite their hot start are now in danger of missing the post-season but still control their own destiny. Like Hollywood, the math for them is simply, win the next one and their in. A loss to the Wolves leaves open the possibility that even with their late season gimme they could be on the outside looking in.
Remaining Games: Warsaw, Lyon

9. Warsaw Wolves(7-7)
Despite being on the bottom the Wolves still control their own destiny as well, simply put win out and they are in at 9-7. Our mid-season re-organization hasn't shown any offensive dividends yet but certainly we are hoping to make a showing against the Crabs.

UPCOMING:

GAME OF THE WEEK: Helsinki Crabs vs. Warsaw Wolves
It's too simple the Wolves and Crabs is a must win for the Wolves and quite possibly a must win for Helsinki. If the Crabs prevail everyone else who is right now in "danger" of losing a playoff spot can punch their ticket and call it a day.
Line: Crabs -4 / O/U 70

MUST SEE TV: Iceland Berserkers vs. Roman Legion
Iceland got stunned by Hollywood and now needs to find 1 win in order to secure a homefield spot. This week against the Legion isn't the brightest of opportunities as the Legion have not lost since opening day. Now they have the opportunity to help deal a critical blow to a potential post-season rival.
Line: Legion -8 O/U: 48

TIVO IT: Hollywood Knights vs. BOZ
Bergen Ops needs a win here more so to show that they are a serious post-season threat than to attempt to move anywhere in the rankings. A win by Hollwood puts them firmly in the post-season and makes their last game trivial besides beating an old rival.

one little slip in there, though. i´m quite sure that we can still clinch 4th seed, although we´d need a lot of luck, to do so. imagine us winning our remaining games, Arkham to loose against Iceland and BOZ loosing their remaining 2.

that would put arkham at 10-6 and the Monkeehs, BOZ and possibly Hollywood at 11-5. in that case we hold the tiebraker over Boz and Hollywood and should be 4th.

that´s just maths, though. i´ll gladly take 5th or 6th considering how the season started.

Hadn't thought about you taking it from BOZ, wasn't only thinking of Iceland moving down, you'll need a wing and a prayer though Hollywood is the kind of team that gives BOZ indigestion but wouldn't count on it.

it´s not something i expect to happen. i was just confused when you said arkham was the only team that could move up to #4, since i was sure it´s theoretically possible for us as well.
