Rk- Team---record---Last ranking---next game---write up
---A class by themselves---
#1 Twin Peaks Cherry Pies---(12-0)---(1)---#4 Flin Flon Flyers---It will be interesting to see to what extent these guys compete/dominate in the AA given how thoroughly they've dominated this league.
---The contenders---
#2 Booty Bay Bandits---(10-2)---(2)---#11 New Amsterdam Chronic---Bandits continue their streak and have all but clinched that 2nd seed. They and the Quakes, both, will have a shot at the Pies. Assuming both fail, the BBB will get the higher seed.
#3 Rancho Cucamonga Quakes---(10-2)---(3)---#9 Montreal Hawaiian Punch---Nice bounce-back win by the Quakes. They look like a lock for the 3 seed. With the obvious loss to the Peaks left, this is the game I would be most concerned about giving up.
---Close, but this is neither hand grenades nor horse shoes---
#4 Flin Flon Flyers---(7-5)---(4)---#1 Twin Peaks Cherry Pies---Loss to Montreal hurts, but their win over the Knights keeps them here. This is a power ranking and I still believe they are the 4th most powerful team.
#5 Halifax Knights---(7-5)---(5)---#14 Stillwater Cowboys---They still have an opportunity to write a happy ending to their season. It will begin next week. This is simply a boring prologue.
#6 Seville Scranton Golden Eagles---(8-4)---(6)---#13 Quahog Blumpkins---Their loss to Halifax keeps them grounded here at 6. They will have a chance in the last 3 weeks of the season to say "I told you so".
---Playoff berth is good enough for this season---
#7 Prince Rupert Catsharks---(6-6)---(7)---#10 Moncton Machine---A good team with an early-loaded schedule. They are only two difficult wins away from going 10-6.
#8 The Frozen Tundra---(6-6)---(8)---#12 St. Clair Ice Hawks---Given the way this team plays to the level of its competition, I would be worried against even the lowly Ice Hawks.
#9 Montreal Hawaiian Punch---(7-5)---(9)---#3 Rancho Cucamonga Quakes---Huge win against the Flyers has stabilized the ship, but it still doesn't vault you above the teams who just beat you.
#10 Moncton Machine---(8-4)---(10)---#7 Prince Rupert Catsharks---Given their record, they have a beef with their placement. Beat the kitty fish and you will begin to rise.
---Bottom Feeders---
#11 New Amsterdam Chronic---(5-7)---(11)---#2 Booty Bay Bandits---Hey, at least you are the best bad team in the league. That counts for something, right?!
#12 St. Clair Ice Hawks---(4-8)---(12)---#8 The Frozen Tundra---They may have avoided relegation from the league, but they have been relegated to spoiler role at this point.
#13 Quahog Blumpkins---(2-10)---(13)---#6 Seville Scranton Golden Eagles---I don't know where these guys went wrong, but they will get a reprieve in the last two games of the season.
---Fighting Relegation---
#14 Stillwater Cowboys---(2-10)---(14)---#5 Halifax Knights---They should find out how many teams get relegated each season. They are a lock to be the third team out.
#15 Canadian Bacon---(1-11)---(15)---#15 West Side Hellcats---Finally, a team that is more their size. It will be interesting to see how bad the Bacon can bring a whoopin'.
#16 West Side Hellcats---(0-12)---(16)---#15 Canadian Bacon---Countdown to 16 at T-4.
