Warrior General Games

The conference seedings are starting to shape up with 3 games to go. I predict that the top 8 seeds will all be clinched after this next game, just leaving some seeding battles left. Game of the Week is obviously the Flashpoint vs Key West contest. I flipped a coin on that one this week, so if my pick upsets you, I'll give you the quarter I flipped and you can call someone who cares. LOL (sorry Xeef)



DC (12-1)(1st) VS Flathead (6-7)(9th)

-------- Flathead's win last week put them one game behind the 7th and 8th team, but those teams own the tiebreaker over them. DC continues on the road toward the #1 seed after an upset loss to the Firebirds. Pick goes to DC as I don't see another upset coming from Flathead this week.

Subplot to game:
********* DC just needs to win out to retain the 1st seed.
********* Flathead still has an outside chance at the playoffs if they can win out, and get help from College Station losing 2. Not likely as College only plays one playoff team.

Flashpoint (12-1)(2nd) VS. Key West (12-1)(3rd)

---------- GAME OF THE WEEK This would should be a great game to watch, as it is every time they play. Both teams are virtually a lock for a home playoff game, but winner would get a home playoff game should they meet again in round 2. I am going to have to take Key West in this one but wouldn't be suprised to see it go the other way.

Subplots:
******** Which ever team wins takes the #2 seed, and in the unlikely event of DC losing 1 more, they would get the 1st seed.
******** These two may most likely meet in the 2nd round of playoffs and this game could decide home field advantage.
********if Key West beats Flashpoint and Commandos beat Nevada,then if Commando's beat Flashpoint they would jump to #3 and Flashpoint would fall to #4. that makes their game this week even more of a need to win so that they aren't in the position of falling another spot.

Chicago Commando's (10-3)(4th) VS Nevada (6-7)(10th)

---------- Nevada seems to be falling apart at the end of the season and needs this win to stay in the playoff hunt. Chicago still has to play the Flashpoint so they want this win to give them a cushion over the Firebirds as they hold tie breaker due to their 1 pt win early in the season. Commando's win.

Subplots:
********* A Chicago win puts them in great place to retain the 4th seed even with a loss to the Flashpoint.
********* A Nevada loss would basically eliminate them from the playoffs
********* A Nevada win and a Flathead loss could put Nevada back into the playoff push.
********* A Chicago loss keeps them in 4th, but still having to play the Flashpoint. Could let the Firebirds or TriCity take over 4th.

Good point I will update that tomorrow. Xeef will love it. i think Kansas has pretty much clinched in all but mathmatics. I guess I just want commando's to lose 2 games to let Firebirds have the 4th seed if they win out.

So I think it is VERY unlikely the Firebirds get a home game in playoffs, all due to a 1 point game loss where we weren't using an AI.
