I'm about to start selling all my cards except Chicago Bears cards, on Ebay. Was wondering if any of you guys wanted a first crack at them at a better deal. I plan on selling them by the team, like if you wanted all of a certain team, that's what I plan to do. (BTW, if this is against the rules, I'm sorry because I don't know). Also, if you have any bears cards you're looking to sell I'd be interested.

I have all teams from the 70s to 2000s but not really organized. I'm sorting them all now. (as for baseball, I don't know anything about baseball, probably aren't any really good cards or anything, I'd be happy to get whatever for them)

i had a good rookie card collection going 70's through early 90's, then ebay came along and torpedoed the whole industry. haven't bought anything since 94 or there abouts. still casually looking for a good payton rookie card though.

haha, yeah, a Payton rookie would be nice to find. I just bought 22 Walter paytons for about 7 bucks the other day but none are rookies

i had stopped buying them in 84.
ffw to 92. i had mine in the closet, in the same box that i kept them in as a kid. the old lady was trying to get me to throw them out. i drug them out and started going through them, ended up being an all nighter. when it was all said and done i found out that i had 9 montana rookies, and 4 marinos.

thats when i got back into trying to bring my rookie collection up to date.i spent probably close to a thousand bucks over a 2 yr. period tracking down the HOF type players from 84 to 94's rookie cards. thought that i had a retirement plan going, then ebay came along, and stuff that you could've gotten 500 dollars for previously, you couldn't get 25 bucks for all of the sudden. haven't even been tempted to buy a pack since then.
still need that payton rookie though to round out my collection.

I've got a couple of notebooks of Topps baseball cards that I haven't priced in years. It looked like it would be a pretty nice collection twenty years ago, but I don't think they have risen in value like I thought they would.

My best cards are probably:

Reggie Jackson rookie (and every other regular card of his career)

2 Brett Rookies

2 Yount Rookies

Any Idea what they're worth? They aren't mint, but they've been in plastic.

I'm no expert, but its better than nothing (see, I'm not a bad guy when people aren't talking trash )

Thanks man.

I don't think those cards have gone up in value more than 2-3% in twenty years.

Here's another I've got

Winfiled

This ones not bad.

62 Mays

I've got some research to do.

Growing up, I had a babysitter give me her brother's cards when he stopped collecting. Like many kids in the 70s, the cards ended up in the spokes of my bike.

About 15 years ago, my father showed me several of the cards "salvaged" from the wheel/spokes. Among them, a nowhere-near-mint Mickey Mantle rookie. A couple others valued closer to 4 figures than 3.

Needless to say, I was sick.
