READ RULE #1

Alright everybody, I've hijacked this thread from the original BBB#9 forum and made a few amendments to it. This is the official Canada A#5 Pro Bowl thread for West. There are some general guidelines and rules that I have that I think are plenty fair. So.. Here are the rules and ballot.

RULES

1. Only GM's can vote!

2. You can vote for any number of players from your team, or the same team as long as they can legitimately be argued.

3. Don't post votes like "the whole Mauler or Drift team" or "the whole Card's Defense". If you're going to vote. Please actually put some thought and (gasp) time/research into it.

4.Use stats in your voting, but don't base everything completely off them. Look inflated stats from a none powder-puff team etc. Use things such as: team success, and how valuable to team they are. (Example- with LOT's, how many sacks did they allow? In essence, vote fair and put time into it. DO NOT vote blindly otherwise it loses its purpose.

5. Try and fill out the entire ballot, I dont want 40 votes for QB and 3 for punter. Not required but itd be nice to have the same amount of votes for every position.. Have some fun doing this.

BALLOT:copy-paste this and make your votes below. Also post what team you are a part of/GM/own, thanks.

Arroz Con Pollo/ Special Teams and (Scouter?)

QB: Stan Steamer - Maulers - Damn Maulers always stealing the show. He hasn't even played the powder-puff teams, and he dominates us...
RB: Dustin SpeedySloth - Maulers - Still a force to be reckoned with....
RB: Gaines Crocker - Drift - Not just based off stats but besides the SAS game. Dustin and Him are the only natural 1300+ yard HB's for west...
FB: -----
WR: Al Eschbach - FMMP -Hard to believe they where having problems with AI. This guy was tearing it up!
WR: Randolph Forbes - Alberta - LOL the only reason this guy isn't 1st. Is because he tore my team up! I mean he had 400+ yards on my team!
WR: -------
TE: Daniel Garretson - Arroz- Yes it is my TE... I will sound like The Athlete, but I think my TE is one of the better ones in A5. For the simple fact he is an old school balanced TE. Not a blocker, and not a receiver....
OT: Freddy Pancake - Arroz
OT: Stonewall Quickfeet - Thunderchiefs
C: -----
OG: Jimmy Carter - Thunderciefs
OG: Hog Lineman - Drift

DE:Oh Noes - Maulers - No Surprise really...
DE:Luigi Sgueegee - Maulers - "" Ditto ""
DT:Bruce Strongheart - Arroz - The only DT producing numbers in the league... Look through all the teams. I did....
DT:
OLB:Bryant Cline - Cards - Need I say more...
MLB:Tanker O'Malley - Thunderchiefs
OLB: DeMarcus Tuohy- Cards
CB:Tyler Derdan - Thunderchiefs
CB:Jonathen Joseph - Arroz
CB:
FS: Tylor Albright - Cards - Without a doubt. This FS is a fucking stud!
SS: Sean Dillion - Saskatchewan Thrashers - This guy is there defense!

K: Ray Finkles - Cards - Laces Out!!!
P: ----
KR: ---
PR: ----

Each GM can vote on a ballot. It isn't a team based thing.

There is a problem in basing it off stats. Like when teams seldom throw to their WR when my CB is covering them. How is he going to get stats when the left side of the field is shut down by him and the QB throws to the right? Granted to really do it correctly, someone would have to watch every play from every game of every team. Labor intensive for the extremely bored.

People should be taking that into account dorito. It's an honor system so it can be abused but hopefully the GM's will take some time to actually look around and make sure that really key performers are getting votes.

I like Welter Payton as the best RB as if anyone else has 170 broken tackles already. This is not including the SAS game ofcoarse.

DT ivan humpalot has some good stats too.

just looking out for my guys.

I think we should do this after game 16 when everyone has played basically the same schedule. Right now the Cards have some things going for them, but they haven't played the 2nd, 4th, and 5th teams in the conference. Also, why not 2 QB slots as well?

However I think that the RB spots are pretty well sealed with Welter Payton and Ricky Rocket as well as the DE's with the Mauler's guys.

I wish it was easier to search stats, like by position. It doesn't seem like that would be hard to implement.

I am the OC of the Rancho Penasquitos Thunderbolts

QB: Jim "big arm" johnson - Cincinnati Cardinals, Leading the cardinals to a 11-0 record with a 106.8 QB rating 20 TD passes and 3 picks he may also be in the running for West MVP.
QB: Cue Ball - Rancho Penasquitos Thunderbolts, Leading the league with 38 TD Passes and a 120.2 QB rating on a team trying to squeeze into the playoffs is a feat all in itself.

RB: Ricky Rocket - Rancho Penasquitos Thunderbolts, Rushing for 1,934.5 so far this season and 26 TD is hard enough but throw in 32 receptions and 742 yards with 12 TD and he is on the leader board along with many top WR in the league.
RB: Welter Payton - Edmonton Thunderchiefs, League leader in rushing and may win the rushing title. 11 games and 2,038 yards averaging 185.3 a game and 33 TD's. Destroyed the Cardinals with 19 carries and 143 yards and 3 TD's in a losing effort is what makes this guy very dangerous.

FB: Damian Knight - Cincinnati Cardinals, 61 pancakes handed out to defenders clearing the way for his HB's. I don't know about you but I don't want to get in his way.
FB: Cujo Bellic - Arroz Con Pollo, This guy loves pancakes 44 of them to be exact, also loves to get the ball with 259 yards and 4 TD.

WR: Randolph Forbes - Alberta Irukandji, 81 receptions and 1,375 yards 18 TD is why he is #1
WR: Devin North - Vancouver Vikings, He has only 51 receptions and 17 TD's!! imagine if he had 80 plus like Forbes!!! Oh he also has 1,039 yards!!!!!!
WR: David Nakamura - Vancouver Vikings, Yea I know another Viking but yikes the numbers don't lie!! 78 receptions 1,142 yards and 12 TD's with his teammate stealing plays.

TE: Calvin Wright - Canada Dragons, leading all tight ends with 51 receptions and 522 yards and only 2 TD's is off pace from last season but might make an impact with 5 games left.

OT: Freddy Pancake - Arroz Con Pollo, 99 pancakes handed out to opposing defenders and still 5 games left for those of you that missed out.
OT: Ha Seung-Jin - Cincinnati Cardinals, 75 pancakes and counting for our overseas sensation.
C: Barry Bonds Bondsrulez - Project Mayhem, Left baseball for football this steroid monster has become quite the Center with 57 pancakes. Hey Barry can we have your recipe for those suckers?
OG: Jimmy Carter - Edmonton Thunderchiefs, 124 pancakes need we say more?
OG: Hog Lineman - North Bay Drift, This little piggy has 91 pancakes and gobbling them up every game.

DE: Luigi Sgueegee - Manitoba Maulers, 49 hurries and 29 sacks for 149 sack yards, I hope I have time to finish this before he gets to m...........
DE: Howie Wreckterbum - Edmonton Thunderchiefs, Here we have another freak with 29 sacks, I would hate to be the East QB thinking about him and his buddy in the Pro Bowl game.
DT: Bruce Strongheart - Arroz Con Pollo, 22 hurries and 12 sacks and 35 tackles makes him the best fat guy in the middle.
DT: Jonas Weihenstephan - Cincinnati Cardinals, 18 hurries and 6 sacks makes him the second best DT in the West.
OLB: UA Prototype - Vancouver Vikings, 83 tackles with a pick 6 for this guy and 6 pass deflection makes him the right choice here.
MLB: Tanker O'Malley - Edmonton Thunderchiefs, 102 tackles 5 sacks 11 passes deflected makes this guy the monster of the middle!!
OLB: Jeremy D Parker - Manitoba Lions, 86 tackles and 2 sacks with 4 INT shows you that Jeremy wants to win.
CB: Jonathen Joseph - Arroz Con Pollo, 36 tackles 4 picks with 3 of them going back to the house and 36 passes deflected takes the #1 spot.
CB: Will Pick - Manitoba Maulers, Name says it all will pick you 4 times and take 3 of them back as well, add in 51 tackles and 27 passes deflected and you have the #2 spot.
CB: Tyler Derdan - Edmonton Thunderchiefs, 5 INT with 2 returned for TD's and 41 tackles takes the 3rd spot.
FS: Tylor Albright - Cincinnati Cardinals, 3 INT and 1 TD from this guy and 15 passes deflected make him the best FS in the West.
SS: Sean Dillion - Saskatchewan Thrashers - This guy has 123 tackles saving his defense numerous times!! Wheres the D?

K: Chip Schotte - Edmonton Thunderchiefs, 93.5% and 5 out of 7 from 50 plus makes him the starter.
P: Jay Johnston - Canada Dragons, 51 punts and 1,992 yards with a league leading 39.1 average.
KR: Correll Buckhalter - Cincinnati Cardinals, 43 kick returns 1024 yards and a 23.8 average and 1 TD makes him the right choice.
PR: Justin Destructable - Rancho Penasquitos Thunderbolts, 43 punt returns for 940.5 yards and a 21.9 average and 6 TD's. Almost 22 yards a punt return is what gives him the spot here giving how hard the punt return is in the game.

I would have to agree with this. This guy is a beast and can power his way through any defense in the league. Sure gave us a run for our money, that's for sure.

Time will tell if we are actually the real deal, well that and the playoffs.

Down side of waiting after 16 is that some guys get the Quitter teams like Laval and Alberta after they have quit.

There is no pure way to do it really.

True, plus some of faced the #1 - #3 teams of the east for the first game, others faced the worst. No pure way.

Btw, I have to point out my little FB (lvl 28, plays backup) has 42 pancakes, 395yds and 4td =P. If they had an awards for good player that went to negligible after moving up, he would win it. (1400 yds last season)
